  7. This CD-ROM contains a wealth of PC and Macintosh animation-related software.
  8. Whether you have a Mac or a PC, your computer will only "see" the portion of 
  9. the CD-ROM that is meant for it. Here's what you'll find on the Computer 
  10. Animator disc:

  12.     * Special working versions of professional animation, rendering 
  13.       and modeling software
  14.     * Samples of commercial 3-D models
  15.     * Samples of commercial textures and graphics
  16.     * Award-winning animations
  17.     * Shareware and Freeware Animation Tools

  20. the Computer Animator CD-ROM".

  25. Follow these steps to setup the Windows software on the CD-ROM:
  26.  
  27.     1. Start Windows, if you haven't already done so, and insert 
  28.        the Computer Animator CD-ROM in your drive. 
  29.  
  30.     2. Switch to Program Manager or File Manager.
  31.  
  32.     3. Select File + Run from the menu bar.
  33.  
  34.     4. Type D:\SETUP and select OK. This assumes that your CD-ROM drive 
  35.        is D. If it is another letter, substitute that letter for D:. 
  36.        For example, if your CD-ROM drive is F, type F:\SETUP.
  37.  
  38.     5. Select OK to continue and follow the instructions in the setup program.

  40. The setup program creates icons in two new Program Manager groups:
  41.  
  42.     Computer Animator Software    Icons for installing or running the 
  43.                             software demos, and reading information 
  44.                             about the sample 3D models and textures.
  45.  
  46.     Computer Animator Flics         Icons for viewing the animations on the
  47.                             CD-ROM.

  49. The setup program also installs Windows drivers for viewing FLI/FLC animations.

  56. Follow these steps to start the DOS menu program on the CD-ROM:
  57.  
  58.     1. Switch to the drive that hold the CD-ROM. For example, if the 
  59.        disc is in drive D, type D: and press the Enter key.
  60.     2. Type \MENU and press Enter. This will start the DOS menu program 
  61.        that allows you to choose programs to install, animations to view
  62.        and information files to read.
