- Hi there.
-
- This is Emacs 18.59 for atari TT/Falcon with 68882 and MiNT.
-
- This program probably works best when installed on a minix filesystem.
- Thus, if you haven't taken the trouble making one yet, this is the time
- to do so...
-
- I only distribute the binaries, you will have to get the
- lisp- and info-files from somewhere else. Be sure to get the files
- belonging to the 18.59 distribution. These are available from
- prep.ai.mit.edu and lots of other places as well.
-
- A few notes on installation:
- Emacs likes to have its subdirectories located in
-
- /usr/local/emacs/etc Documentation, binaries
- /usr/local/emacs/lisp Lisp files
- /usr/local/emacs/info Info-documentation
-
- If you want to have them somewhere else, define the environment-
- variables:
-
- EMACSLOADPATH this is where the lisp files go
- EMACS_EXECPATH this is where doc and binaries go
-
- The location of the info-directory can be set in the emacs-variable
- Info-directory.
-
- When emacs tries to execute programs, it looks for programs *without*
- .ttp/.tos etc (cause that's the way I like it...:). If you are running
- the minix filesystem, you can make softlinks to your .TTP executables
- if you like to have it that way...
-
- This emacs.ttp is compiled with a stack-size of 512k, that means that
- you cannot edit files bigger than ~500k. To change the stack, use the
- supplied utility fixstk.ttp. To let emacs have - say - 1024k bytes for
- stack, type: "fixstk -1024k emacs.ttp".
-
- I include an example .emacs init file and an emacs.mnu file for use
- with TOSWIN.
