  16.        This  manual  page  documents  the GNU version of w✓wh✓ho✓o.  If
  17.        given no    non-option arguments, w✓wh✓ho✓o  prints  the    following
  18.        information for each user currently logged on:

  20.           login name
  21.           terminal line
  22.           login time
  23.           remote hostname or X display
  24.  
  25.        If given    one non-option argument, w✓wh✓ho✓o uses that instead of
  26.        /etc/utmp as the    name of    the file containing the    record of
  27.        users  logged on.  /etc/wtmp is commonly    given as an argu-
  28.        ment to w✓wh✓ho✓o to look at who has previously logged    on.

  30.        If given    two non-option arguments,  w✓wh✓ho✓o    prints    only  the
  31.        entry  for  the user running it (determined from    its stan-
  32.        dard input), preceded by    the hostname.  Traditionally, the
  33.        two arguments given are `am i', as in `who am i'.
