  3. Notes:
  4.         You must have a 286 or better IBM-type computer and a VGA 
  5.    card with at least 512k video memory to play this game. You must
  6.    have all the files listed in FILES.LST. If you do not have both of
  7.    these things, the game will not run.  We send updates as available 
  8.    to America Online, Exec-PC and other major BBSes, and zip files we 
  9.    have uploaded to those services will be complete.  We fervently hope 
  10.    that people who download our programs will pass them along to other BBSes,
  11.    and that they will pass along the complete package, but naturally
  12.    we cannot control what happens when the programs leave our hands.
  13.    If you download this game from a local BBS and it doesn't have all
  14.    its bits, please let your sysop know, but don't bitch and moan too
  15.    hard because sysops have a rough and thankless existence.  Our 
  16.    complete line of games can be downloaded from Entropy Tango BBS at
  17.    512-451-3512. (See why we know about the life of a sysop?)  After
  18.    all this, if you have everything the game needs and it still refuses
  19.    to run, give our tech-line a call between noon and 9 PM Central 
  20.    Standard Time, at 512-451-8308. (But see below first...)

  23. Troubleshooting:
  24.  
  25.         These are our most frequently reported problems, so maybe you
  26.    can save the cost of a call by reading on. 
  27.    1. Message to the effect of "Cannot load graphics..." -
  28.       You have less than the necessary 512k of video memory. We're sorry,
  29.       but we can't do a thing about this except tell you how much you'd
  30.       enjoy an upgraded vid card.
  31.    2. Screen stays black or goes messy -
  32.       Try the other .bat file to start up. This loads the universal VESA
  33.       driver and will make Gemma work just fine on those tricky accelerator
  34.       cards.
  35.    2B.This still doesn't help -
  36.       You have another VESA driver loaded. Unload it. Check AUTOEXEC.BAT
  37.       or CONFIG.SYS for the problem.
  38.    3. Your screen is totally white or the computer hangs or freezes -
  39.       You have a corrupt ZIP or are missing some necessary file. Re-download.
  40.       Our home BBS, Entropy Tango, 512-451-3512, will always have the newest
  41.       version available for download on your first login, and you'll be sure
  42.       of having the complete shareware program directly from the source.
