Transcription: The command module electrical system is divided between fuel cells and batteries. There are three fuel cells onboard the CSM. The primary source of electrical power is the fuel cells. Each cell consists of hydrogen and oxygen compartments as well as two electrodes. The cryogenic gas storage system supplies the hydrogen and oxygen used in the fuel cell power plants. Three silver zinc oxide storage batteries supplement power to the command module during flight, re-entry and landing. These batteries are recharged from excess power generated from the fuel cells.
