Open to the public since 1967, the Alanya Museum showcases treasures of both archaeological and ethnographic interest. The archeology section includes findings dating back to prehistory, Phrygian, Lydian, Greek, Roman and Byzantine times. The favorite piece in this section is a remarkably preserved bronze statue of @Heracles@ that dates back to the 2nd century AD.
