Tekirova, whose operations are run by tourism facilities, the entire coast is one big natural beach that is open to the public. Further south, the shoreline that starts from Mavikent and @Kumluca@ and extends all the way to @Finike@ is shared by both people and @Caretta caretta@ sea turtles. In 1995, the European Environmental Education Foundation awarded G├╢yn├╝k, Kemer and Tekirova beaches with a blue flag, the symbol for both a clean environment and sea.
