  1. SOFTWARE USE LIMITATIONS AND LIMITED LICENSE
  2. This special non-interactive demo version of Star Trek: Secret of Vulcan Fury
  3. (the "Software") is intended solely for your personal noncommercial home
  4. entertainment use.  You may not decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble
  5. the Software, except as permitted by law.  Interplay Productions retains all
  6. rights and title in the Software including all intellectual property rights
  7. embodied therein and derivatives thereof.  You are granted a revocable,
  8. nonassignable limited license to create derivative works of this Software
  9. solely for your own personal noncommercial home entertainment use and may
  10. publicly display such derivative works to the extent specifically authorized
  11. by Interplay in writing.  A copy of this authorization, if any, will be
  12. provided on Interplay's World Wide Web site, located at
  13. http://www.interplay.com, or by contacting the legal department Interplay
  14. Productions in the US at +(714) 553-6655.  The Software, including, without
  15. limitation, all code, data structures, characters, images, sounds, text,
  16. screens, game play, derivative works and all other elements of the Software
  17. may not be copied (except as provided below), resold, rented, leased,
  18. distributed (electronically or otherwise), used on  pay-per-play, coin-op
  19. or other for-charge basis,  or for any commercial purpose. You may make
  20. copies of the Software for your personal noncommercial home entertainment
  21. use and to give to friends and acquaintances on a no cost noncommercial
  22. basis.  This limited right to copy the Software expressly excludes any
  23. copying or distribution of the Software on a commercial basis, including,
  24. without limitation, bundling the product with any other product or service
  25. and any give away of the Software in connection with another product or
  26. service. Any permissions granted herein are provided on a temporary basis
  27. and can be withdrawn by Interplay Productions at any time.  All rights not
  28. expressly granted are reserved.

  30. Modem and Network Play.  If the Software contains modem or network play, you
  31. may play the Software via modem transmission with another person or persons
  32. directly without transmission through a third party service or indirectly
  33. through a third party service only if such service is an authorized licensee
  34. of Interplay.  For the purposes of this license, a "third party service"
  35. refers to any third party service which provides a connection between two
  36. or more users of the Software, manages, organizes, or facilitates game play,
  37. translates protocols, or otherwise provides a service which commercially
  38. exploits the Software, but does not include a third party service which
  39. merely provides a telephonic connection (and nothing more) for modem or
  40. network play.  Authorized licensee services are listed on the Interplay
  41. Productions World Wide Web Site located at http://www.interplay.com. This
  42. limited right to transmit the Software expressly excludes any transmission
  43. of the Software or any data streams thereof on a commercial basis, including,
  44. without limitation, transmitting the Software by way of a commercial service
  45. (excepting those specific commercial services licensed by Interplay) which
  46. translates the protocols or manages or organizes game play sessions.  If
  47. you would like information about obtaining a pay-for-play or commercial
  48. license to the Software, please Interplay Productions in the US at
  49. +(714) 553-6655.  Nothing in this paragraph is intended to prevent you from
  50. downloading the Software from Interplay's Web site or from commercial service
  51. providers authorized by Interplay to provide the Software to you.

  53. Acceptance of License Terms.  By downloading or acquiring and then retaining
  54. this Software, you assent to the terms and restrictions of this limited
  55. license.  If you acquired the Software and do not accept the terms of this
  56. limited license, you must return the Software together with all packaging,
  57. manuals and other material contained therein to the store where you acquired
  58. the Software for a full refund and if you downloaded the Software, you must
  59. delete it.
