  7.    Here are the quick docs for this fantastic full motion video game!

  9.                    Some suggestion for VIDEO SPEED!
  10.  
  11. 1) If you have enough RAM, uncompress TOMCAT there! You will not have
  12.    a problem as far as Access Time!
  13.  
  14. 2) I recommend you OPTIMIZE your Hard Drive then uncompress TOMCAT!
  15.    as this will help Access Time GREATLY! But when you optimizing your
  16.    Hard Drive make sure you know what your doing, and make sure you have
  17.    backups! This can be a deadly action!! (I KNOW!)
  18.  
  19. 3) There is a Program Called HYPERCACHE which is a intelligent disk
  20.    cache program and will greatly speed up access time on TomCat!
  21.    This program is available from Silicon Praire Software.
  22.  
  23. 4) Between Video Clips, you will hear a Music Soundtrack, ME I don't hear
  24.    it because of my HD Access Time OR RAM loads. So.. If you find you hear
  25.    2 or 3 sec of the Music SoundTrack, that's WAY too MUCH LOAD TIME!
  26.    Optimize your HD or Copy TOMCAT to RAM....

  29.                         ---HOW DO I PLAY TOMCAT?---
  30.    
  31. OK.. 1st screen you will come to, you will have to select a WayPoint. This
  32. is a way of telling your TOMCAT where to fly to.  Since this is only
  33. a PREVIEW version there is only (1) ONE WayPoint! Did you select WayPoint
  34. one yet???

  36. On the next screen you will need to tell your TOMCAT which Mig to engage!
  37. Move your crosshair to a mig and click your button to Lock onto your 1st
  38. Mig!!  If you stall on your action you will soon find a blood thirsty pilot
  39. on your SIX! Be very careful when you select your MIG! Make sure the Mig is
  40. in the middle of your crosshair! Selecting bad can get you KILLED!

  42. Once you have selected your 1st Mig, quickly LOCK onto him with your AIMING
  43. crosshair, which will turn RED when you have a LOCK and "FIRE!" If you take
  44. to long for a LOCK the MIG will out FLY you then your looking at trouble!
  45. Remember, you only have so much TIME & WEAPONS!

  47. WARNING SCREEN!

  49. Ok listen up! The only time you will EVER get a WARNING is if there is a MIG
  50. on your SIX or a NICE DEADLY MISSILE RIGHT ON YOUR SIX!! There are only TWO
  51. ways to get you out of this!!!!  1st. If you have enough time, QUICKLY
  52. move your crosshair to the FLARE and press FIRE or Select ANOTHER
  53. MIG!  By selecting another MIG you have a 50/50 chance of out flying 
  54. HIM! This can sometimes be your ONLY option, because you only have so
  55. many FLARES! (Or you may not have enough time to GET to the flares! -Ed)

  58.         That should be all you need to know for NOW! ENJOY!!!

  62. Why I decided to write a game like this, was because I could not afford
  63. a CD32 and the Amiga CD-ROM games were NOT Full-Motion-Video BUT for one!
  64. But  I really could NOT afford a CD32 + The way Commodore is right now
  65. I'll just wait like everyone else in the world! One of my friends keeps
  66. rubbing his IBM-PC CD-ROM games in my FACE and telling me the AMIGA WILL
  67. NEVER PULL OFF FULL-MOTION-VIDEO! There are only so many things I can
  68. say back!  The sad thing is, THE AMIGA COMPUTER CAN DO IT, BUT 
  69. NO ONE IS DOING IT! So I decided to write one using Software... TOMCAT
  70. is not the only game I'm working on.. I'm also working on a Full-Motion
  71. Action Space game which should be released by 1995... I plan to
  72. stay with my Amiga Computer until my CHIPS turn to DUST! Even then
  73. I will buy another one.. So.. any questions???
