OCR: Press CTRL-Q to pause, CTRL-S to resume . Tetris HelpThe object of the game is to position the falling objects in such a way thatyou create solid rows inside your grid. Each time you fill in an entire rowthe row disappears and the objects ab ove it fall to fill in the gap. Youplay until the objects fill up the grid.At t he main menu choose "1" to play Tetris. The main Tetris screen is thendisplayed The screen consists of 2 grids. The grid on the left is thecaller's grid, th e grid on the right is the sysop's grid. Each player playsindependently. During game play key commands become "hot" keys which means that you maypress keys cont inuous ly to perform an action. The following commands areavailable: DT128 Keyboard Joystick Act ion 4 Left Move left 1 column 5 own Move down 1 row 6 Right Mo ve right 1 column 7 Fire + Left Rotate left E Fire + Up Flip 9 Fire + Right Rotate Right SPACE BAR Fire + Down Drop to bottom P Up Pause C N/A Enter chat mode R N/A Redraw screen Q N/A Quit (Sysop only) CTRL-Run/Stop N/A Abort gameThe sysop can use either the keyboard or joystick in port #2. The callermust use their keyboa rd unless their joystick can be programmed to send thecorresponding character fo r each movement as described above. Caller's usingDT128 can use the joystick mo dule on their system disk. Be sure to set thegame type to "Tetris. "Each player has their own score grid that keeps track of the following: LEVEL - starts a t 0 and progresses up to level 9. As the level increases the object s begin to fall faster. SHAPES PLAYED - This is the number of shapes that ha ve fallen so far. BITS PLAYED - This is the number of "bits" in all the shap es played so far. Bits are the smaller square shapes that mak e up the larger shape. For example, the shape shown below is made up of 4 bits. L RC JS CLEARED - This is the number of rows that you have cleared from the chute so far fter the current shape NEXT SHAPE - This is the next shape that will fall a has come to rest . SCORING :--- -- Points are scored each time an object comes to rest either at the bottom ofthe chute or on top of another shape. The number of points awarded dependson the number of bits that make up the shape. Bonus points are given fordropping shapes and clea ring rows. Each bit is worth 5 points. If you dropa piece with the SPACE BAR y ou get an additional 10 points for each row thepiece fell. You get 1,000 points for each row cleared
