  7. middle two letters are decipherable. It
  8. looks like <---pk--->.

  10. What looks like an irrelevant puzzle turns out to be vitally important
  11. as the mys-adventure comes to a close.  Calhoon hoped that the player
  12. would get confused by the odd letter combination and not come up with
  13. "<slipknot> too easily.  It is never explained who scribbled it on the
  14. "pornscroll -- or why.  Undoubtedly, the only reason is to give the
  15. player a hint as to what type of knot will be used later in the mys-
  16. adventure.
