  10. Eco's <The Name of the Rose>.  He figured his stint in a parochial
  11. school (and as an altar boy) gave him a slant on mid-20th Century
  12. "monastic life.  It should be said, however, that the characters in
  13. "MURDER IN THE MONASTERY do not depict real people, and any resemblance
  14. between them and the people who educated and ruled over Knees from 1953
  15. to 1961 is purely coincidental.
