The SPACE ROOM
Calhoon outdid himself with trickery in this room. Of course you
want to push the button, but stifle that urge -- at least at first.
It will blow the fuses and turn out the lights upstairs. If you push
the button, or if the gun is fired anywhere in the Museum, the blivet
drops a splib, which can be used as a bullet -- if you have a lit
flashlight to see it.
What is a fractal blivet? Or for that matter, a splib? Calhoon
first heard the word "blivet" to mean an impossible object, such as
Escher drew. Then when he was in the Army, he found it was a pet term
of drill sergeants for lousy soldiers. He found that out many times.
He added the word "fractal" to make it sound more modern and spacey.
A "splib" just sounded like something that would fall out of a blivet.
