  7. While the Ingalls lived in Walnut
  8. Grove, the family actually didn't have
  9. a "Little House" at all. They lived in
  10. a dugout sod house in the side of a
  11. river bank! Here is a recreation of
  12. what that house would have looked
  13. like.

  27. After visiting the museum, the actual
  28. site of the sod house on the river,
  29. and a quick swim in "Lake Laura" we
  30. took an exciting hail- and tornado-
  31. filled drive east to Pepin, Wisconsin.

  33. Pepin also has a museum about Laura
  34. and her family, though it is less
  35. impressive than the one at Walnut
  36. Grove.

  38. However, several miles out of town
  39. they have rebuilt the Little House on
  40. the actual Ingalls Homestead.
