  7.     Jack Barnes, a loyal LOADSTARite,
  8. is one of my "email providers,"
  9. sending out many interesting and down-
  10. right provocative FWDs. Among the
  11. latest was a link to an amazing photo
  12. essay web page.
  13.  
  14.     I immediately saved the pictures
  15. to my drive. This is certainly the
  16. kind of thing LOADSTAR could use!
  17. Normally, I would have used Adobe
  18. Photo Delux to massage the pix to
  19. 320x200 GIFs, then used GoDot to bring
  20. them into the C-64.
  21.  
  22.     But one of the members of the
  23. Secret Society of Commodore Coders
  24. gave us a link to a great "cross-
  25. platform" program: Project One. This
  26. utility works in Windows, and converts
  27. JPG, GIF, and BMP graphics to Koala or
  28. Drazpaint formats for the C-64.
  29.  
  30.     Now, Project One does not come
  31. even close to the power and elegance
  32. of GoDot. It simply does a conversion.
  33. But it does it quick! In an hour or
  34. two, I had Koalas, which I then
  35. converted to SHP format with STBPRINT,
  36. and put together in a MediaMeister
  37. presentation.

  39.     Cross-platform people will
  40. certainly want to get a copy of
  41. Project One. Moreover, if you are into
  42. C-64 programming at all, you should
  43. check out the
