QUIZMEISTER is LOADSTAR's
universal quiz program that allows
you to make quizzes on any subject
for your friends or family to take.
We consider an interactive quiz to be
one of the best uses of a computer.
Creating your own questions and
answers is a breeze because you just
use EDSTAR, our favorite line
editor.
[DAVE'S NOTE]: Making a quiz is as
easy as taking one! (Easier, really,
'cause you already know the answers!)
On this issue, I added LAMER -- A
quiz for Computer Adverturers which
tests knowledge of the most BASIC of
BASIC programming commands. We will
soon use it to separate the Lamers
from the Adventurers at our weekly
club meeting. So see how you do!
TAKING A TEST
-------------
You can select from a list of
quizzes when the program boots.
QUIZMEISTER finds all the quizzes on
the disk and places them in a menu.
The limit is 700 quizzes, or as many
as your drive will handle. All you
have to do is CRSR DOWN or UP to the
quiz you want and press RETURN.
Once the quiz is LOADED, you are
asked if you want the correct
answers revealed. If you choose YES
you'll be shown correct answer if you
miss a question. You'll also be
shown detailed explanations of each
question, depending on the question.
Choose NO if you don't want the
answers revealed. This may be
preferable if you want to take the
test over again.
Now you're ready to take your
multiple choice quiz. In the yellow
box at the top of your screen you see
a question. At the bottom of the
screen in a red box is a list of
possible answers. Use CRSR/RETURN to
select the one you think is right.
Press "Q" to quit at any time.
NOTE: The author of the quiz may feel
that there are some questions you
should know. If you miss those
questions, you will have points taken
away in a most embarrassing way. He
may also give you partial credit for
picking an answer that's close to the
right one.
Once you're done with the quiz,
you go to a screen where you can see
your scores for the last ten quizzes
taken. In order to give the program
an "academic" air we call the scores
screen a TRANSCRIPT.
The name of the quiz you took
is in the QUIZ column. RATIO shows
proportionally how well you did on
each quiz. SCORE is self-explanatory.
Press any key to update your
transcript. Afterwards, you can
tackle another quiz or write your own
with EDSTAR.
