- geoPublish V1.1 -
programming by Todd Elliott
What's new for Wheels users at the
LUCKY Sping 2004 Commodore EXPO?
Well, for starters, how about a
new version of geoPublish? :) As you
may remember, the last version of
geoPublish is v1.0, the 10/4/1988
version. With thanks to the cc65
programming suite, I have made a
version v1.1 of geoPublish, dated
2004.
I'm guessing now that I have your
complete attention. :) Simply put, I
have picked the Spring 2004 Commodore
EXPO to 'premiere' geoPublish v1.1 to
a captive Commodore hobbyist public.
Since Bruce Thomas has been writing a
series of tutorials on geoPublish
(http://www.edmc.net/cue), this is a
nice angle to play from a marketing
perspective, hence 'An Advanced
geoPublish Tutorial'. Both Bruce and I
would go over the new features of
geoPublish v1.1, run it through its
paces, and more.
Maurice Randall will also give his
share as far as PostPrint is
concerned. As you now may have heard,
Maurice has introduced exciting new
printing features to PostPrint and I
think these will be great assets to
newsletter editors. PostPrint has been
updated to handle the new features of
geoPublish V1.1.
Anyway, I'm still working on
geoPublish. I have not fully completed
it yet. Bruce Thomas is my main
beta-tester and Maurice Randall is a
guy that I use for sage programming
advice and PostPrint advice. I hope to
complete my work on geoPublish by the
end of this month and then time
permitting, add a nice feature here
and there. I hope to give out a list
of features that this new geoPublish
version will have by the end of this
month and post it on the Internet, CBM
publications, and more. Right now, I'd
rather not tell what features are
included, what features are planned,
etc. as things are still in progress.
It doesn't hurt that the 'suspense'
over my geoPublish programming
endeavors will generate more interest
and enthusiasm for Commodore GEOS DTP
efforts.
