  6.     What's new for Wheels users at the
  7. LUCKY Sping 2004 Commodore EXPO?
  8.  
  9.     Well, for starters, how about a
  10. new version of geoPublish? :) As you
  11. may remember, the last version of
  12. geoPublish is v1.0, the 10/4/1988
  13. version. With thanks to the cc65
  14. programming suite, I have made a
  15. version v1.1 of geoPublish, dated
  16. 2004.

  18.     I'm guessing now that I have your
  19. complete attention. :) Simply put, I
  20. have picked the Spring 2004 Commodore
  21. EXPO to 'premiere' geoPublish v1.1 to
  22. a captive Commodore hobbyist public.
  23. Since Bruce Thomas has been writing a
  24. series of tutorials on geoPublish
  25. (http://www.edmc.net/cue), this is a
  26. nice angle to play from a marketing
  27. perspective, hence 'An Advanced
  28. geoPublish Tutorial'. Both Bruce and I
  29. would go over the new features of
  30. geoPublish v1.1, run it through its
  31. paces, and more.

  33.     Maurice Randall will also give his
  34. share as far as PostPrint is
  35. concerned. As you now may have heard,
  36. Maurice has introduced exciting new
  37. printing features to PostPrint and I
  38. think these will be great assets to
  39. newsletter editors. PostPrint has been
  40. updated to handle the new features of
  41. geoPublish V1.1.

  43.     Anyway, I'm still working on
  44. geoPublish. I have not fully completed
  45. it yet. Bruce Thomas is my main
  46. beta-tester and Maurice Randall is a
  47. guy that I use for sage programming
  48. advice and PostPrint advice. I hope to
  49. complete my work on geoPublish by the
  50. end of this month and then time
  51. permitting, add a nice feature here
  52. and there. I hope to give out a list
  53. of features that this new geoPublish
  54. version will have by the end of this
  55. month and post it on the Internet, CBM
  56. publications, and more. Right now, I'd
  57. rather not tell what features are
  58. included, what features are planned,
  59. etc. as things are still in progress.
  60. It doesn't hurt that the 'suspense'
  61. over my geoPublish programming
  62. endeavors will generate more interest
  63. and enthusiasm for Commodore GEOS DTP
  64. efforts.
