At the LUCKI EXPO 2004, we
announced that LOADSTAR is good
through issue 246. That's right! Our
subscriptions have actually gone up --
and we are seeing another surge of
interest and enthusiasm for the C-64.
Nine of the 64 attendees became
LOADSTARites at the Expo. Thanks!
This issue is loaded with graphics
-- especially from Louisville. As I
write this, President Reagan's funeral
is on the TV. So, in honor of the
strong patriotic feelings now surging
through the US, we have a music/image
presentation for your Summer Holiday
(OK -- an important USA Summer
Holiday).
Five of the demos from the EXPO
are brought to you in a fairly full
form. And, as announced and demoed at
the EXPO, LOADSTAR presents:
DOTBASIC!
This is a major BASIC extension that
includes Mr.Mouse 2.1, Visual Screen
design, Object Oriented features, and
an Event Driven environment. Even if
you have always thought that writing
programs was beyond you, DOTBASIC
makes it so easy that you will want to
try your hand at it.
And, because of your feedback, the
Super LOADSTAR Library is back,
updated through issue 230 -- and
complete on side 4, ready for MCopying
to your own Library Disk. (Due to its
size, side 4 does not have even the
most rudimentary Return to LS
capability.) If you tried Super LS
Library out on 229, you know that
searches are easy to format, and the
entire LOADSTAR database is available
at one time.
We have also included a bit of fun
from Chris Ryan's Commodore Gazette,
and a great spoof on that earlier
Gazette we all enjoyed so much in the
1980's.
So sit back and and
[ADORE YOUR COMMODORE!]
