  2.        LOADSTAR LIBRARY UPDATE

  8.     The LOADSTAR Library Database is
  9. back, with information for issues 211
  10. to 218. You will want to copy
  11. "lsl.211-218" to your Library disk,
  12. and remove the previous "lsl.211-?"
  13. file.

  15.     Using the Library is fairly easy
  16. and straight forward. You can point
  17. and click with mouse or joystick, or
  18. press the associated number on the
  19. main menu.

  21.     1. Search by Program
  22.  
  23.     2. Search by Author
  24.  
  25.  With these two searches For instance,
  26. rather than search for "David
  27. Moorman", you can look for "moorm".
  28.  
  29.     3. Search by Category
  30.  
  31.  This option lists the search screen
  32. and lets you choose the category.
  33.  
  34.     4. Search by Issue/All
  35.  
  36.  If you choose a 1 or 2 digit issue
  37. number, you will get all issues
  38. that include the given number(s).
  39. Do not try to dump an issue's contents
  40. directly to the printer. Better to use
  41. the Mark File technique.

  43.  If you type in issue 0, all items on
  44. the data file will be displayed.

  46.     5. Set Search Range
  47.  
  48.  I have broken up the database into a
  49. number of data files, each named with
  50. the range of issues in that file.

  52.     6. Destination SCREEN

  54.  Click this to change to toggle
  55. between PRINT 4, PRINT 5, and SCREEN.

  57.  The best way to send listings to the
  58. printer is to first use the SCREEN
  59. and Mark the items (press <M>) you
  60. will want to print. Then, switch the
  61. output to the printer. Use 3. Search
  62. by Category and choose Marked File.

  66.  The "Load Data File" option is the
  67. same as 5. Set Search Range.
