  10.     I can hear the catcalls now. "Hey,
  11. this thing is ancient! Everybody and
  12. his brother has seen this demo!"
  13.  
  14.     Well, maybe so. I think it was the
  15. first "demo" I ever saw, so it must
  16. have come out in 1985 or thereabouts.
  17. I always thought that Jim Butterfield
  18. had something to do with it but it has
  19. credits that say it's by Tony Crowther
  20. and Ben Daglish of Abcd Inc.

  22.     But I don't care if it is an
  23. oldie; it's still a darn goodie. It's
  24. also one of the few demos ever made
  25. that has a plot. Just boot it up and
  26. sit back and watch the action. The
  27. music is pretty good, too.

  29.     It's amazing that all of those
  30. graphics and sprites can fit into a
  31. lttle 39-block program. It was 47
  32. blocks until I crunched it with
  33. Action Replay's SUPER-CRUNCH. It
  34. doesn't return to LOADSTAR; in fact
  35. it automatically returns to BASIC
  36. when done.

  38.     I know all of you newcomers to
  39. 8-bit computing are going to
  40. appreciate the graphics and music
  41. that was far ahead of its time back
  42. in the 80s, and I hope you veterans
  43. get a nostalgic kick out of seeing it
  44. again. Roger Detaille, our Geos man
  45. in Canada, sent it to me last week.
  46. I know I have it somewhere at home
  47. but I doubt if I could have found it.
