  2.           LOADSTAR BILLBOARD

  7.     This month, we bring you some
  8. great Season's Greetings cards from
  9. the Master of C= Fonts, Phil Sampson
  10. (a.k.a. The Black Knight). In the
  11. interest of religious diversity, I
  12. have unilaterally decided that
  13. the Season in question should be
  14. called ["Winterfest"].
  15.  
  16.     Christians celebrate Christmas and
  17. Jews celebrate Chanukah and other
  18. ethnic and faith groups have their own
  19. Holy Days. Nevertheless, we in the
  20. Northern Hemisphere can join together
  21. to enjoy warm feelings about cold
  22. weather, Santa Claus, gift giving,
  23. over-eating, and sharing with the
  24. unfortunate.

  26.     Of course, our friends in
  27. Australia and elsewhere south of the
  28. equator are kicking back at the beach,
  29. catching the rays, and tossing some
  30. shrimp on the barbie. Well, you can't
  31. please all the people all the time.
  32.  
  33.     But you can certainly tick
  34. everyone off at once!
  35.  
  36.  
  37.     Using BILLBOARD is too simple, so
  38. I will elaborate laboriously:
  39.  
  40.     Move the Mouse arrow to the edge
  41. of the screen to scroll in the image
  42. from that direction. Or use the cursor
  43. keys. Click the Mouse button or press
  44. <Q> to return to LOADSTAR.
  45.  
  46.     REMEMBER -- [YOU] can put anything
  47. you want on the BILLBOARD. If it is
  48. small, I will put your "ad" on a
  49. "classified" screen. If you want to
  50. design a whole screen with Mr.MICK --
  51. be my guest!

  53.     BILLBOARD can include up to 8
  54. screens -- and maybe 12. We will run
  55. almost anything you want to say --
  56. something you want to sell, some
  57. service you want to provide, some
  58. information your want to share, or a
  59. tremendous piece of art made with
  60. Mr.MICK. (Check out Lee Novak's
  61. wonderful mouse, featured this month.)

  63.     The program supports all text
  64. screen modes (standard, extended
  65. background, and mult-color). The best
  66. way to save your work (and send or
  67. email it to us) is with the .FTS
  68. extension. This has the screen and
  69. font put together in one file.
