  8.   ASTRO is a celestial almanac that

  10. puts a wealth of astronomical data at

  12. your fingertips.  By merely pressing

  14. a key, you can find everything from a

  16. planet's distance from the sun and

  18. the length of its year to its orbital
  19.  
  20. speed and surface gravity.

  23.   In addition to informative sections

  25. devoted to each member of our solar

  27. system, ASTRO has an entertaining and

  29. educational "Fun Facts" section that
  30.  
  31. makes a great introduction to
  32.  
  33. astronomy for young people.

  36.   This section includes an

  38. interplanetary weight chart, and
  39.  
  40. charts showing how long radio waves
  41.  
  42. take to travel to other planets from
  43.  
  44. Earth.

  47.   Because the user sees facts about

  49. the solar system in terms he is
  50.  
  51. familiar with (his own weight, for
  52.  
  53. example), "Fun Facts" can really
  54.  
  55. bring the strangeness of the planets

  57. home-- and perhaps stimulate a

  59. youngster's interest in astronomy.

  62.   Using ASTRO is very simple.  After

  64. a brief title screen, you are

  66. presented a menu listing members of

  68. the solar system, the "Fun Facts"

  70. option, and the QUIT option.

  73.   To read the data about a planet,
  74.  
  75. press its corresponding letter.  The
  76.  
  77. information on each planet takes up
  78.  
  79. around three screens.

  82.   ASTRO gives you time to read each

  84. screen, then flashes a prompt that
  85.  
  86. gives you the option of making a
  87.  
  88. (P)rintout of that screen or going to
  89.  
  90. the (N)ext screen.

  93.   If you are to the end of the

  95. information about a particular

  97. planet, pressing "N" when you are
  98.  
  99. prompted returns you to the main
  100.  
  101. menu.
