  14. With your Commodore 64, a VIC-1525
  15.  
  16. (or compatible) printer, and
  17.  
  18. Headliner, you can make the
  19.  
  20. headlines. This program gives you the
  21.  
  22. ability to make posters, signs,
  23.  
  24. Christmas cards, or even wrapping
  25.  
  26. paper.
  27.  
  28.  
  29.   Headliner is a short, yet powerful
  30.  
  31. program that will get the job done.
  32.  
  33. It is easy to use as it is driven
  34.  
  35. with menus. First, you are asked to
  36.  
  37. decide from among three different
  38.  
  39. modes.  Mode one is regular upper
  40.  
  41. case letters and graphics.  Mode two
  42.  
  43. is upper and lower case letters.
  44.  
  45. Mode three is reversed characters.
  46.  
  47. In the third mode, only upper case
  48.  
  49. letters are printed in reverse and
  50.  
  51. also this only applies to the
  52.  
  53. characters sent to the printer.
  54.  
  55. Neither upper nor lower case letters
  56.  
  57. are reversed on the screen.
  58.  
  59.  
  60.   The next menu lets you choose
  61.  
  62. the size of the headline that will be
  63.  
  64. printed. Size one is the biggest. It
  65.  
  66. prints letters a little over an inch
  67.  
  68. high, with ten letters for each line.
  69.  
  70. Letters are printed by using their
  71.  
  72. normal size letters arranged into the
  73.  
  74. shape of large letters.
  75.  
  76.  
  77.   Size two prints letters about
  78.  
  79. three-fourths (3/4) of an inch, with
  80.  
  81. 20 letters per line. Here, letters
  82.  
  83. are printed using little squares to
  84.  
  85. make the large letters.
  86.

  88.   Size three and four are the regular
  89.  
  90. size type and double-width,
  91.  
  92. respectively. There is no problem
  93.  
  94. mixing large and small letters on the
  95.  
  96. same page, so with a little
  97.  
  98. creativity, you can make some
  99.  
  100. interesting text.

  102.  
  103.   Headliner prints the letters in
  104.  
  105. groups of lines. After choosing the
  106.  
  107. size, you are asked to enter the
  108.  
  109. number of lines. Enter you choice,
  110.  
  111. then you are prompted to enter the
  112.  
  113. letters for each line.  Once the
  114.  
  115. printing has finished, the menu is
  116.  
  117. returned to the screen.
