Most synthesizers are tuned to what
is called an equally tempered scale,
yet the Greeks believed in the perfect
diatonic scale.
With this program you can find the
base frequencies for other scales. By
using other 'imperfect' scales, you
can create audible pulsations, called
beats, that add harshness to the
sound.
