Flight Simulator II

Before I purchased Flight Simulator
II, I had read a number of reviews
and had decided that it was worth the
$49.87 price tag. (I was able to get
it while it was on sale for $42.39)
When I opened the slide apart box
the FS II was packed in, two 95 page
manuals, two double sided Area charts,
and a diskette fell out.
Having spent 22 years in military
aviation, I knew what flight manuals
should look like. These manuals are
very professional in appearance and
content.
The first thing I decided to do
was to make things easier for myself
and save some wear and tear on the
manuals. On pages 14 & 15 of the
Pilots Handbook is FIGURE 1. This
is a picture of the instrument cluster
which is handy to have in front of
you when you climb into the simulator.
What I did was run down to the
local store and use the copy machine
to make a copy of both pages. I glued
these on a piece of cardboard. Now I
just prop it up in front of me for
easy reference. I did the same thing
to pages 30 & 31 also.
This is the best way I know of to
learn how to fly. Safe and sound in
your own home. I've walked away from
every crash!!!
I recommend Flight Simulator II to
anyone that has any interest at all
in airplanes.
