Review: Impossible Mission
Epyx
By: John W. Rea
Texarkana, Tx.
Impossible Mission is an out-
standing game and has superb
graphics and sprite animation.
Epyx has also introduced voice
synthesis without any additional
peripherals needed. The game
is similar to a James Bond in
that you must save the world
from a mad scientist who is holding
the world hostage under threat of
nuclear annihilation. Elvin, the
mad scientist, has many robotic
guards which monitor certain ob-
jects, desks, computers, candy
machines, beds, toilets, lamps,
etc., in the various rooms in
Elvin's underground headquarters.
The object of the game is to search
everything in the headquarters to
try to find the pieces that form
the password that allows access to
Elvin's control room and to Elvin
himself (I have had this game for
more than three weeks and still
have not completed the game).
All in all the mixture of great
graphics, animation, plot, and
voice synthesis make this a must
for everyone!!
