  1. Installation Instructions 
  2. Multimedia Animal World CD-ROM for Windows 2.0

  4. Insert the CD-ROM into the drive.  
  5.

  8. Windows 3.1 Installation
  9. Launch Windows.  In the Program Manager, select "Run" 
  10. from the "File" Menu.  Enter "D:\SETUP31" where D is 
  11. the letter of your CD-ROM drive.  Follow any on-screen 
  12. instructions.

  14. The setup program will create a program group entitled 
  15. "ZooGuide". Double-click the Whales icon 
  16. to run the program. To exit the program at any time, 
  17. hit the Escape key.  You can also click on the Exit 
  18. button in any of the chapters.

  20. IMPORTANT
  21.  
  22. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE QUICKTIME FOR WINDOWS INSTALLED ON
  23. YOU COMPUTER, RUN THE QUICKTIME INSTALLER "QTINSTAL"
  24. ON THE CD-ROM DISK.

  26. DO NOT RUN THE "QT32INST" INSTALLER IF YOU DO NOT HAVE
  27. WINDOWS 95

  31. Windows 95 Installation
  32. Select "Start", then "Run". Enter "D:\SETUP95" where 
  33. D is the letter of your CD-ROM drive.  Follow any 
  34. on-screen instructions.

  53. This product uses Director Player for Windows.  
  54. In the past, this product has been known to create 
  55. problems with certain video cards - such problems 
  56. include video appearing at strange places on the 
  57. screen, or other program errors. 
  58.  
  59. If you have problems try the following
  60.  
  61. (1) If your computer has thousands or millions of
  62. colors, run in one of these modes rather than 256
  63. colors. This may cure the problem
  64.  
  65. (2) Sometimes the problem can be cured by changing your 
  66. video driver to the generic 'SuperVGA 640 x 480' 
  67. video driver usually provided with Windows. You can 
  68. do this by running the Windows Setup utility, usually 
  69. found in the 'Main' program group in Windows 3.1 or
  70. under the 'Settings' option on the 'Start' button in
  71. Windows 95
  72.  
  73. (3) You may have an outdated version of your display 
  74. driver software. Please contact the manufacturer of your
  75. video card for recent driver software.

  83. Super VGA graphics card or better (minimum 640 x 480
