  8. AmigaBase       A hierachical, programmable database that runs under OS 1.3
  9.                 and OS 2.0.  Has a full intuition interface.  Features include
  10.                 two display methods, filter datasets, search datasets, print
  11.                 datasets, and much more.  Nearly everything can be realized
  12.                 by programming AmigaBase.  Datatypes can be Integer, Real,
  13.                 Boolean, String, Memo (Text), Date and Time.  Number of data-
  14.                 sets is only limited by available memory.  Also included in

  26.                 will look a bit odd in modes other than HiRes-Interlace mode

  29.                 having to use the Prefs tool.

  32. Error           CLI utility to print a message text for AmigaDOS errors along

  37. Less            A text file reader, descended from Unix "Less."  Less has
  38.                 features found on no other Amiga file reader; it can use
  39.                 pipes, accepts multiple filenames, and has many convenient

  41.                 marking positions, etc.  This version adds an option to
  42.                 suppress opening a new window, using the existing CLI window
  43.                 instead (especially useful with an AUX: shell), and includes
  44.                 some minor bug fixes.  Version 1.6Z, an update to version 1.4Z

  48. SltChr          Allows users of ASDG's CygnusEd Professional to select a
  49.                 character via point-n-click rather than having to remember
  50.                 (or lookup) the ascii keycode for it.  Useful for entering
  51.                 international, special, or infrequently used characters.
  52.                 Version 1.1, fixes a bug present in version 1.0 on disk
  53.                 number 890.  Includes source in C.  Requires AmigaDos 2.0.

  56. VirusZ          A virus detector that recognizes over 220 boot viruses and
  57.                 over 115 file viruses.  The filechecker can also decrunch
  58.                 files for testing.  The memory checker removes all known
  59.                 viruses from memory without 'Guru  Meditation' and checks
  60.                 memory for viruses regularly.  VirusZ has easy to use intui-
  61.                 tionized menus including keycuts for both beginners and
  62.                 experienced users.  VirusZ performs a self-test on every
  63.                 startup to prevent link virus infection.  Written entirely in
  64.                 assembly language and operates with Kickstart 1.2/1.3, OS 2.0

  75. ArmyMiner       An ultimate "XMines-type" game that integrates all of the best
  76.                 aspects of the previous Amiga versions of the game.  Options
  77.                 include:  Automatically mark or clean the neighbours of a
  78.                 square; Safe start (no explosion at first click); Safe click
  79.                 (gadget-like behavior for squares); Question marks (for con-
  80.                 figuration analysis).  You can also specify your own custom
  81.                 board settings.  The game has a very useful pause option,
  82.                 sound effects, high-score tables and a very nice interface.
  83.                 It works under OS v1.3 or 2.0, NTSC or PAL.  Version 1.4,

  87. MICE            My Image Code Editor.  MICE generates source code from stan-
  88.                 dard IFF pictures.  Can generate either assembly or C source.

  93. QDisk           A WorkBench 2.x/3.x equivalent to the cli info command and
  94.                 more.  QDisk will monitor your AMIGA DOS devices at specified
  95.                 intervals defined by tool types.  There are also tool types to
  96.                 position all windows and set a warning flag when space usage
  97.                 becomes high.  Version 1.1, an update to version 1.0 on disk
  98.                 number 853.  Binary only.

  101. SuperDuper      A very fast disk copier and formatter.  Can make up to four
  102.                 unverified copies from a ram buffer in 36 seconds.  Verified
  103.                 copies from a ram buffer take 67 seconds for one destination
  104.                 drive, plus 34 seconds for each additional destination.  This
  105.                 is version 3.00, an update to version 2.02 on disk 753.
  106.                 Includes a program to fine tune some fields in the trackdisk
  107.                 device, and a "no click" type program.  Binary only.

  110. TaskE           A GUI based task manager.  It provides you with information on
  111.                 running tasks and allows you to clean up behind failed tasks
  112.                 by closing their windows and screens.  In addition, you can
  113.                 attempt to remove tasks by sending them CTRL-C signals, and
  114.                 simply by disabling them.  Version 37.1, includes source.

  117. Viewtek         A feature packed  Picture/Animation Viewer.  Shows most ILBM's

  121.                 Supports SHAM, CTBL, and PCHG images, full support of ECS/AGA

  155. IdleLED         Turns the power LED off when the CPU is idle.  It operates
  156.                 using timerA on CIAB.  This is continuously reset by the idle
  157.                 task running at low priority (-127).  When the idle task is
  158.                 preempted by anything, the timer is allowed to underflow
  159.                 causing the interrupt server to run which turns on the power
  160.                 light.  Next time the idle task runs, it immediately turns off
  161.                 the power light.  Version 1.0a, includes source.

  184. DTree           Similar to "Tree" on the IBM PCs, displays a devices' "Tree"

  191. Eval            A full-featured floating point expression evaluator that
  192.                 can assign variables, has many built-in functions and

  200. MultiUser       Allows you to create a Unix-like environment where several

  242.                 anymore!)  Configurable handling and appearance.  Remembers
  243.                 every menu's last selected item, displaying Pop-Up menus the
  244.                 next time at a position allowing quick selection of the same

  246.                 active screen (if not visible) to the front for menu selection

  251. Move            A compact, fast CLI move command that allows the moving of
  252.                 files over multiple devices.  It will perform a "true" move
  253.                 (a la rename) when files are being moved around on the same
  254.                 device, making it very fast, while still being able to perform
  255.                 moves over multiple devices.  Move will also allow you to move
  256.                 file links, and supports all standard 2.x wildcards.

  260. PhxAss          PhxAss is a complete macro assembler, which supports the
  261.                 instruction-set and addressing modes of all important Motorola
  262.                 processors (MC68000,68010,68020,68030,68040,6888x and 68851).

  264.                 not only linkable object-files but also absolute code, which
  265.                 can be written to memory, to a file or directly to disk using

  292.                 AmiQWK has been tested with many QWKMail systems for IBM and

  297. CyberPager      The CyberPager software allows one to send alpha-numeric pages

  360. HFK             Yet another TitleBar clock that tries to look like part of your
  361.                 Workbench title bar.  It actually opens a very small, non-
  362.                 draggable window in the upper right corner of the screen.  HFK
  363.                 opens on the default public screen, which will usually be Work-
  364.                 bench.  HFK uses almost 0% of CPU time, as it is written very
  365.                 efficiently in C, taking advantage of the timer.device, and
  366.                 only once a minute to render the time.  Version 39.35, Requires

  370. MegaView        A "Multi-View" kind of program for use with Workbench 2.0.  It
  371.                 uses the whatis.library (included) to recognize the filetype of
  372.                 a file with which it is invoked to run a filetype-specific
  373.                 program.  MegaView can be used from the Shell, from Workbench,
  374.                 as Default Tool in project icons, as an AppIcon or as an App-

  406. DefPubScreen    A little wedge that makes the front-most screen the default
  407.                 public screen.  If the front-most screen isn't a public screen,
  408.                 nothing changes.  It wedges into the vertical blanking inter-
  409.                 rupt server chain and watches Intuition's record of the front
  410.                 most screen.  When the front-most screen changes, the main
  411.                 task is signaled and responds by making the front-most screen
  412.                 the default public screen if possible.  This is all totally
  413.                 transparent and happens very quickly, and is very handy for
  414.                 people who have seperate screens for Shell windows etc.

  418. DSound          DSound is an 8SVX sound sample player that plays samples
  419.                 directly off a hard drive, without having to load an entire
  420.                 sample into memory first, making it possible to play samples
  421.                 of any length even under limited memory conditions.  Version
  422.                 1.30, an update to version 1.20 on disk number 729.  This
  423.                 version fixes some bugs and adds a display to the DSound
  424.                 window that shows the length of the sample and the amount
  425.                 played so far, both in minutes::seconds format.  Includes
  426.                 source.

  429. IEv4Demo        An icon editor which can create and modify icons up to 640x256
  430.                 pixels in size, up to 256 colors, edit all non-graphical icon

  433.                 font and style, scale icon images, edit default icons, select

  441.                 system.  Has tons of features, including a font sensitive GUI,
  442.                 multiple unit caching, selectable read-only or read/write

  444.                 memory handler, a full ARexx interface and more than 100k of
  445.                 AmigaGuide documentation, to mention a few.  Online help is
  446.                 (optionally) available everywhere using AmigaGuide.  Installs
  447.                 as a simple commodity and is of course hotkey controllable.
  448.                 Requires at least Kickstart 2.04.  Certain bonus features
