  1. This archive contains 801 instruments for the Adlib and Soundblaster in both
  2. BNK and INS formats.  If you use the BNK format, simply copy the file 801.BNK
  3. to the directory you use for your Adlib or Soundblaster and rename it to
  4. STANDARD.BNK or whatever name you normally use for your instrument file.

  6. If you use the INS format and need the individual instrument INS files, copy
  7. both MAKEINST.BAT and 801INST.EXE to the subdirectory of a floppy or hard
  8. disk.  ****PLEASE NOTE****  It must be to a subdirectory of a floppy or a
  9. hard disk because DOS will not allow enough files in the root directory of
  10. any disk.  This will break out to 801 instrument files in addition to the
  11. two files you copy to the disk.  After you have copied the two files, type
  12. MAKEINST <enter> and watch as the 801.BNK file is broken out to its individual
  13. instrument files.
