  1. Experian, Equifax and Trans Union are the three major credit 
  2. reporting companies. To see how you are rated, you must 
  3. request an order form. Forms are obtained by making a request 
  4. over the telephone, in writing or over the Internet. A small 
  5. fee, generally not exceeding $15, will be charged. If you 
  6. have been denied credit, employment, or insurance over the 
  7. past 60 days, you can request a copy at no cost by sending 
  8. a copy of your credit denial letter. Once the credit report 
  9. is received, be sure to review it carefully. Many credit 
  10. reports contain mistakes. If you find errors, write to the 
  11. reporting agency immediately. Request that any incorrect 
  12. information be verified and corrected. Verifications and 
  13. corrections must be handled within 30 days from the time 
  14. the request is made.
