  16. personality characteristics that would fit a certain job and then using them
  17. as a benchmark to test prospective employees with.

  19. MAROONED AGAIN is a text adventure games that puts you on an alien planet
  20. with a broken ship, a bunch of clones that only respond to two word commands
  21. and an alien ship that requires an entirely logical solution to make work.

  50. The EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM  is a program the uses responses to a series
  51. of descriptive statements to determine an employers requirements for a
  52. position. It then tests employees/applicants for their suitability in that
  53. job. Based on the responses, EMS prints out a 5 page report on the
  54. personality outlined by the responses.

  56. The first part of this report includes rating the tested personality on a
  57. CLEP chart. EMS also rates the personality in terms of two factors implied
  58. by the test that have the greatest influence on the testee. The program then
  59. goes on to describe the individual's management style, decision making
  60. style, stamina (?) and personality characteristics.

  62. Finally, the individual is described in terms of performance factors and
  63. motivational and demotivational factors. These seem to be the factors that
  64. would cause you to like or dislike a job.

  66. This test purports to describe a person based on 30 questions, with a
  67. response range of 5 - this describes 'me' very well to 1 - this isn't 'me'.
  68. The biggest problem with this type of 'test' is that the answers are easily
  69. manipulated by the testee to create a pattern that may or may not be
  70. accurate. There are folks out there who will just eat this up, however basic
  71. and potentially inaccurate it may be.

  86. MAROONED AGAIN is not your standard text adventure game. In the first place,
  87. its logical. It tells you this every time you try to do something illogical.
  88. The author tells you this at the beginning of the game. The basic plot is
  89. you are marooned on an alien planet with a broken spaceship and a bunch of
  90. retarded clones who can only respond to two word commands. There is hope
  91. however! Also on this planet is an alien spaceship that can be made to work
  92. with some minor repairs. All you have to do is fix the ship with your clones
  93. and take off.
