  2. 1. Some systems experience problems with CD rom Read Caching,
  3. especially triple and quad speed CD drives  It may be neccessary to
  4. disable CDROM read Caching if you experience problems.
  5.  
  6. 2. If you have a double joystick port, but only one joystick, that
  7. one joystick has to be plugged into the first joystick port.  If not,
  8. you will receive bogus sound.
  9.  
  10. 3. If you are running DOS 5 and EMM386, there may be some problems
  11. with the program.  If you run into problems, boot without EMM386 and
  12. try the game again.
  13.  
  14. 4. On some systems, the memory configurations are different.  If you
  15. experience shortage of memory problems, disable any memory managers
  16. that might be installed (EMM386, QEMM, 386MAXX etc) and restart your
  17. system and rerun the game.
  18.  
  19. 5. On your MSCDEX driver, be sure that the /E option is not enabled. 
  20. This switch is usually in the Autoexec.bat file.
  21.  
  22. 6. You can't select the MT32 card if you don't have one installed. 
  23. This is because the test to determine if the MT32 card is installed
  24. can cause potential conflicts with owners of SCSI drives (as per the
  25. problem with the EAKIDS install program).
  26.  
  27. 7. If you have trouble displaying hockey Hires graphics on your video card,
  28. try typing VSAHKY50, rather than HOCKEY in the game directory.  This
  29. product comes with a universal VESA Driver that emulates most popular
  30. video card Vesa Drivers.

  32. 8. If you still find that there are problems with your Video card
  33. displaying this product, or you get some graphic garbage on your
  34. screen, reset your computer and try typing VSAHKY43, rather than
  35. HOCKEY or VSAHKY50 in the game directory.

  37. 9. Pressing the key combinations "CONTROL - C" or "CONTROL - BREAK"
  38. or "CONTROL  -  ALT  -  DEL"  during the game can cause a DOS
  39. interrupt and therefore terminate the game in an abortive and
  40. unexpected manner.

  42. 10. Please consult this "READ.ME" file on the CD for any reference
  43. items or Tips that may not be included in this Reference Card.
