The install file expander needs at least 540,000 bytes of
available DOS memory to run. You will need to free up some memory.
You can create a minimum boot floppy disk by formatting a
blank disk with the FORMAT A:/S or FORMAT B:/S DOS commands.
You can copy the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files from HARRIER disk2
or copy and edit your normal files.
Rebooting your machine with this in the disk drive should give
you enough free memory.

There are two installation options:
FULL game installation - which includes an animated introduction
SMALL game - without the animated introduction
The FULL installation requires about an extra 3Mb of disk space

Which display driver do you want to install?

The standard low resolution VGA version will always be installed.
Installing a high resolution option will select that as the default,
but you can swap to low resolution by typing LOWRES before AV8B, and
back to high resolution by typing HIRES before AV8B. If you don't
know what type of card you have, choose VESA standard for now. After
installation run the VESAINFO program supplied on DISK 2. If the card
ID mentions S3 (or 801,805,911,924,928) then reinstall with that
option. If VESAINFO fails, and you don't have an ATI card then you
will need a VESA driver program for your VGA card. If that is not
available then you will have to run at low resolution only.

Installation of @Name is finished.
MEMORY USAGE
AV-8B uses extended 32 bit memory and will run with as little as 300K
of conventional DOS memory. Most 4Mbyte and larger machines will run
AV-8B in their normal state. A 2Mbyte machine will have enough memory if
no other program uses extended memory. Programs like Windows SMARTDRIVE
use extended memory, so if you can't run AV-8B due to lack of memory
then you will need to boot without these programs. You can create a
system boot floppy disk by typing FORMAT A:/S at the DOS prompt.
The example CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files on AV-8B DISK 2 are
suitable to copy onto this system floppy disk.
Rebooting with this disk in drive A should solve the problem.
QUITING THE GAME
We recommend that you reboot your machine after playing AV-8B prior to
starting another application.
