Replay Cutter for IndyCar Racing
Copyright (c) 1994 Papyrus Publishing, Inc. All Rights Reserved.
Purpose: To allow users to cut out parts of (long) replays to create (short)
highlight replays so that replays may be sent to others on disk or
over a modem.
Use: 1) Save your replay while in the IndyCar Racing program.
2) Determine what the beginning and ending times of the edit will
be. Those times will be of the form
hours:minutes:seconds.frame in the replay, but you will
type them in separated by spaces.
3) Exit IndyCar Racing.
4) Run the CUTRPY program with the proper arguments:
The track name (e.g. NWENGLND for New Hampshire Int'l Spwy).
The original replay name.
The new replay name.
The beginning time of the cut, as four separate numbers.
The ending time of the cut, as four separate numbers.
5) Your new replay will be saved in the track directory of the
original replay (e.g. TRACKS\NWENGLND\HILIGHT.RPY).
6) You can then copy the replay to a disk or upload it to a BBS.
Example: CUTRPY NWENGLND FULLRACE HILIGHT 0 1 0 0 0 1 15 12
Result: Takes New Hampshire replay fullrace.rpy from time 0:01:00.00 to
0:01:15.12 and saves it in hilight.rpy in the tracks\nwenglnd
directory.
Caveats: The cutrpy.exe file must be in the INDYCAR main directory.
The abbreviations for each track in IndyCar Racing are as follows:
LAGUNA Laguna Seca LONGBCH Long Beach
MICHIGAN Michigan MLWAUKEE Milwaukee
NAZARETH Nazareth NWENGLND New Hampshire
PORTLAND Portland TORONTO Toronto
Legals: IndyCar is a trademark of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
