  2. LEGACY EXAMPLE CONFIGURATIONS

  4. These subdirectories contain CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files for a
  5. variety of machine configurations with a variety of memory managers and
  6. disk caches. They are here to give an indication of the sort of
  7. configuation which might best be able to run Legacy on various machine
  8. setups without resorting to a boot disk. Hopefully these are not too
  9. 'stupid' and may be used as the basis of a day-to-day setup. Obviously
  10. everyone's requirements will be different...

  13. These configurations assume that there is NOT a caching disk controller
  14. in the system. If this is the case, don't use a software disk cache but
  15. allow the game more EMS memory.

  17. 'The Legacy' will use up to 2560K of EMS.
  18.  
  19. It requires slightly less that 610,000 bytes larges executeable size.
  20. If little or no upper memory is available the use of sound cards will
  21. increase this size.
