FOR : MINDBENDER PC
FROM: CHRIS SCHOLZ, MECOM SOFTWARE GbR, GERMANY
TO : ALL USERS
Hi, out there...
This is MINDBENDER, a thrilling game that really bends your mind.
The PC-version is just the same as the version on the ATARI ST
(except CGA, of course) so you can enjoy a real fast and colourful
game on your business machine.
INCOMPATIBILITIES:
- It does not work with disk-caching programs (like pc-cache from
the PC-TOOLS).
DESIGNER'S NOTES:
- All levels are solveable, I have completed it a couple of times.
- The gnomes, which are wandering on the screen, sometimes stop.
It's no bug, it's a feature. If the gnomes stop and you need them,
play the level again. A few of the levels are nearly impossible to play
with wandering gnomes.
- I have found incompatibilities between IBM-CGA and Commodore-
(Amstrad-) CGA-cards. So if you are questioned about what type of
card you have (only if CGA is detected), first try (1) for an
IBM-Original. If you then see four screens on your CRT or your machine
hangs, start again and try (2) for an AGA-card.
In AGA-mode, you see the graphics beeing loaded and how we build up
the screens. I am very sorry, but it depends on your card.
- The game detects what kind of graphics-card you own and installs itself
correctly. So don't worry about installation procedures...
- Some said, that this program works with Hercules-graphics. That is not
REALLY true. On one side, it runs under Hercules, on the other:
There are only 640 * 200 pixels used from this mode so you can play it,
but do you enjoy it ???
- Try to use a mouse on your PC.
- There is no support for joysticks in this game.
That was all I wanted to tell you.
See you again
