  1. Cannon Fodder Technical Guide

  4. Cannon Fodder requires:
  5.  
  6. Conventional memory: 560K
  7.          XMS memory: 192K 
  8.

  10. If you experience memory problems with Cannon Fodder it may be
  11. necessary to create a boot disk as follows:
  12.  
  13. 1: First format a blank floppy disk by typing:
  14.  
  15.      FORMAT A: /S
  16.  
  17. 2: Using an editor of your choice create 2 files on
  18. this disk, one called CONFIG.SYS and the other
  19. AUTOEXEC.BAT.

  21. The CONFIG.SYS file should look something like this:
  22.  
  23.      DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS              
  24.      DOS=HIGH
  25.      STACKS=9,256
  26.      FILES=10
  27.  
  28.  
  29. The only thing in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file should be a
  30. command to load your mouse driver and should look
  31. something like this:

  33.      C:\DRIVERS\MOUSE.COM
  34.  
  35. Obviously you may have your mouse driver stored in a
  36. different location on your hard drive so you will need to
  37. alter the path and/or filename to suit your particular
  38. system.

  40. Once this is done turn off your PC, insert the newly
  41. created boot disk and switch the machine back on. After
  42. MSDOS has booted you will now be able to move into the
  43. directory where the Cannon Fodder game is stored. You
  44. should now be able to load the game by typing
  45.
