7UP_220 7UP version 2.20 by Michael Thänitz is a GEM based text editor for
the Atari ST. It utilizes all the functions of GEM including drop
down menus, windows, dialog boxes, and desktop icons. The program
and all documentation is in German. Shareware!
7UP_ENGL An English version of 7UP version 2.09 by Michael Thänitz is a GEM
based text editor for the Atari ST. It utilizes all the functions of
GEM including drop down menus, windows, dialog boxes, and desktop
icons. This is the latest English version. Shareware!
CED_V115 ULTRACOOL CED Texteditor version 1.5 by Matthias Pfersdorff is a very
nice GEM based text editor. It comes with two versions of the
program - one in English and one in German. The docs are only in
German but the English version of the program is very easy to use.

DIARY1_8 Diary version 1.8 by Craig Harvey is a SHAREWARE text editor. Diary
is a desk accessory and is very flexible in what it will let you do.
DOCUMNTS Using Emacs 18.58 on the Atari ST/TT family of Personal Computers by
Scott J. Kolodzieski is a brief document intended as an introduction
to the Emacs editor, including its installation and usage. It is
written for users who have some familiarity with ideas and concepts
such as Unix, Command Line Interpreter, Shell, Environment Variables
and the like.

DVI_221B DVI version 2.21 by Markus Pristovsek - update files only.
EDIMAX EDIMAX Text Editor by Matthias Pfersdorff is an ASCII text editor.
The program and all documentation is in German.
EDITEXT EdiText Text Processor by Mike O'Donnell is a simple, straight
forward editor. It reads up to 1200 lines into memory, any further
lines being discarded. Anything other than an ascii file gives
strange results, but won't crash the program. Characters with an
ascii value of less than 32 are converted to spaces, so 1st Word
files may be loaded. The text Width is set by the longest line
loaded. Any lines longer than 79 characters are truncated.
EDIT_V21 Text Screen Editor version 2.1 by Damien M. Jones. This program is
useful anytime you need to create a text screen. It allows you a
flexible method for adding color to old text screens and for making
new ones.
ELT ELT Texteditor version 3.1 by Erwin Lotter is a very small, compact
text editor. The program and all docs are in German. Freeware!
ELV16B2 elvis version 1.6 for MiNT/TOS by Juergen Lock is a text editor that
runs fine on both standard TOS and behaves itself under MiNT. That
includes stuff like not busy-wait on the terminal, use pipes instead
of tempfiles etc... (looks at the __mint variable).
EMACS MicroEMACS version 3.9e by Daniel M. Lawrence is a tool for creating
and changing documents, programs, and other text files. It is both
relatively easy for the novice to use, but also very powerful in
the hands of an expert. MicroEMACS can be extensively customized for
the needs of the individual user.
ESSAY198 Essay version 1.98 by RUIZ Patrick is a text editor that runs on all
ST/STe/TT/and Falcons. It was written entirley in assembly so it is
very fast. It can read & edit all sorts of text, or even program
files to modify some bytes. Includes French and English docs.
EVER_34 Everest version 3.4 is a GEM based text editor for all Atari 680x0
based systems. It is great for working with unformatted ASCII files.
It can also be used an editor for programmers. Includes both English
and German versions of the program and documentation.
KTEXT170 K_TEXT version 1.7.0 by Dan Panke is a text file reader with a
difference. Besides allowing you to read a text file in an easy
manner it also allows the text file to contain VT52 commands, display
up to 4 Tiny, Degas compressed or uncompressed picture files, play
XBIOS 32 music files, and give the ability to append text files.
MG2AMINT New mg2a port for Atari and MiNT by Kees Lemmens. This is a complete
(and working) version of the MG editor which is based on the BSD-UNIX
(SUN) sources.
MUTT This is the atari GEM implementation of the Mutt Editor version 2B
Patchlevel 7 by Craig Durland, complete with source code. The atari
port was done by Jwahar Bammi. The GEM interface was written by
Michael Brandt.
QED_320 QED version 3.20 by Christian Felsch is a GEM based editor for the
ST. The program and all docs are in German.
SCEDIT SCEDIT (Source Code EDITor) by Harald Becker is a GEM based text
editor that is well suited for editing source code. The program and
all docs are in German.
SCRIBE12 SCRIBE version 1.2 by Eric Chapman is a fast and easy-to-use text
editor. It can be used for any text editing purpose, such as
preparing text for use in a word processor or desktop publishing
program, creating program source code, or modifying auxiliary files
such as DESKTOP.INF (or high score tables for games!). Shareware!
SPEEDWRI Speedwriter verison 1.0 by Frank Lemmen & Richard Karsmakers of The
ACC is a small, quick, text editor for the Atari.
SPIRIT01 SpiritEd is a GEM-based text editor that operates as a desk
accessory. It was written to be used with SpiritWare's Bible
concordance program, but since it is a general-purpose text editor,
it can be used to edit text from within any application, including
the GEM desktop.
ST_PAGE ST-Page is an ultra-fast editor written in 100% machine code using
Fast BASIC's built-in assembler. It produces pure ASCII files which
makes it ideal for entering C, Pascal, assembly language and even
BASIC source code. Or if you simply want to type out a few notes or
a letter. Its very compact size means that it takes up very little
space on your utility disk and it's quick to load.
