ASTRO Planeterium Version 1.1 by Rainer Kracht. An astronomy program that
displays the positions of the celestial bodies. The program and docs
are in German.
ASTROCAL Cadenza AstroCal version 1.8 by Eric Bergman-Terrell. This program
can generate a calendar containing the following information: Times
of sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and moonset for each day. Moon phases,
time and dates of eclipses and solstices and more.
ASTROLAB Astro lab version 0.8 by Jürgen Rensen is a great astronomy program
for the ST. The program and docs are in German. Shareware!
CHEMPARS Chemparse by Brad Christie is a program which interprets chemical
structures and substructures you type by using a recursive descent
parser. An RDP parser is a good way to handle input that can be
described using a context-free grammar.
C_GINEER Chemistry Engineeer version 4.03 by Ph. Kraft. This German chemistry
program attempts to utilize computer science to solve chemistry
algorithms.
GRAVCALC GravCalc version 1.1 by S. Osborn. GravCalc, (as the name suggests)
determines the gravitational force between two bodies and then
calculates their subsequent motion through 2-dimensional space (3D
space, apart from being pointless for two bodies, is a little
complicated to represent on a 2D screen).
HR_PLOT Hertzsprung - Russell Plotter version 2 by Lionel Ruiz. Astronomy
based program that will plot out a diagram of the evolution of a
star.
HUECKEL Hueckel by Uwe Schneider is molecular mathematics program. Includes
some functions that make it useful for chemistry applications. The
program and docs are in German.
JUPMOONS Jupiter Moons Program by A. Pikhard. This is an excellent graphic
display program for simulating the orbital motion of the Galelean
moons of Jupiter. Also shown are the position angle and distance
from the planet of each of the moons as well as eclipses, transits,
and even moon shadows!
JUPRETRO Retrogrd.Prg by Frank Jordan. This program presents a graphical
representation of the retrograde motion of Jupiter for any year
within 300 years of 1900.
KEPLER Kepler by ROBERT BECKER. A German Physics program that demonstrates
Keplers laws of planetary motion.
LAB_PRO Laboratory Professional version 1.2 by Jens Schulz. This is a very in
depth chemistry package with multitudes of features.
LEWIS123 Lewis123 version 1.0 by Stephen Mehalek is a covalent bond sketcher.
This chemistry packages has features too numerous to list. Shareware!
MARSMOON Mars Moon Program by A. Pikhard. This is an excellent graphic
display program for simulating the orbital motion of the moons of
Mars. Also shown are the position angle and distance from the planet
of each of the moons as well as eclipses, transits and even moon
shadows!
MASE Adaptive Spectral Esimator by Steven Seidl and Wes Hertel is a
Monochrome only Adaptive Spectral estimation package.
MESSIER Contains upgraded versions of Sternbild (an astronomy program that
allows the user a planetarium type view of the 88 constellations with
full control over viewpoint, time changes and scale, for med and hi
res use) and Calendar which provides information on days, dates,
Julian dates, holidays etc, over a very wide time span (it knows
all about Gregory's changes in 1582 for instance).
NORAD N.O.R.A.D. version 2.0 by Dr. T. A. Clark is a graphic realtime
satellite tracking program.
PH_WERT pH-Wert by Peter Ubachs is a chemistry oriented program for the ST
that deals with ph levels. The program and all docs are in German.
PLANETAR PLANETAR.PRG version 2.31 by Rainer Kracht is a nice astronomy
program for the ST. It has been tested on a Falcon030 (in ST
monochrome). The program and all docs are in German.
PSE A program that displays the periodic table of elements. The docs are
in German.
SAT404 Satellite Orbital Prediction Program version 4.04 by Bill Penner.
This program was written to be used to predict the position of a
satellite using either standard Keplerian orbital elements or a
position and velocity vector, such as the NASA M50 elements.
SATDAY94 SATURN'DAY 1994 by Ruiz Lionel. This program computes the positions
of the Saturnian moons and plot them around the shape of the planet
or in a well known diagram type. It also permits you to visualize
the inclination of rings during the years. The data is very precise
until 95 and a somewhat less accurate thereafter.
SATMOONS Saturn Moons by A. Pikhard is an excelent graphic display program for
simulating the orbital motion of the moons of Saturn and the seasonal
tilt of the planet's rings. Also shown are the position angle and
distance from the planet of each of the moons at the time displayed
during the simulation.
SOLARWAY Solar Way version 1.2 by Ruiz Lionel is an astronomy program for the
ST. All documentation is in French.
STAR2000 FREEWARE version of Star Base from Debonair Software. Star 2000 is a
star database, browser and plotter, addressed to those with interest
in astronomy. It contains data on 2000 brightest stars from the Yale
Bright Stars Catalogue and on 100 brightest deep sky objects from the
RNGC, allows for accessing the database in various modes, and for
plotting sky maps in various reference frames, projections and
magnifications.
STARCHRT This is a version of Alan Paeth's starchart 2.0 software (ported to
the ST by Dave Yearke). For use with color monitors. It also
includes versions that will provide output suitable for HP Laserjet
and Postscript printers. Note that this program uses the Yale star
catalog (included) extensively.
STARGIDE The Amateur Astronomer's Guide To The Night Sky version 3.0 by M.
Kudlowski. This program is a guide to the stars and constellations
visible in the night sky from almost anywhere on earth. Features
1160 stars down to magnitude 4.75, including variable stars whose
maxima exceed magnitude 4.75, and double or multiple stars whose
combined magnitude exceeds 4.75.
STARMAPS Starmaps version 0.81 by F.H.Naber is an astronomical program and is
produced for the amateur astronomer. It uses a star data base of the
equinox 2000 which was initially presented in a PD program of Dr.Jung
from Germany. Due to the limited data-base accuracy the resolution
of the right ascension is only 54 arc.sec. The resolution of the
declination is 12 arc.sec.
STERNZ11 Sternzeit version 1.1 by Richard Sandholzer is an astronomy program.
The program and all documentation is in German.
SUNMOON1 SunMoon by Dave Henry. This program computes data for the sun and
moon. It was made with the intent of printing monthly tables of
sunrise and sunset or moon rise and moon set. The program is based
on several articles published in Weatherwise magazine and expanded
upon to add an easy to use user interface.
URAMOONS Uranus Moons by A. Pikhard is an excellent graphic display program
for simulating the orbital motion of the moons of Uranus.
VYGER31A Voyager version 3.1a LIGHT is an astronomy program for the ST. There
are English, French, and German versions of the software available.
Features: Compute ephemeris of planets,Moon, Sun, comets and as
asteroids. You can choose place, time zone, atmospheric refraction,
time etc.. Display recapitulative boards for ephemeris, rising and
setting for planets. Shareware!
X_GINEER X-GINEER version 5.07 by Ph. Kraft is a chemistry program for the ST.
The program and all documentation is in German.
YALE The Yale Bright Star Catalog is an electronic catalog providing
extensive stellar information for the brightest stars. It includes
extensive detail for each star (e.g. B-V color temperature, proper
motion, catalogue names), much of which is not needed by charting
software. This "lite" version contains only what is needed by
charting software.
