Version 1.12
First of all, I removed some errors and made Captains QWK4 compatible.
Some people want to be possible, to import a text into the
built in editor. Since 1_12 you can do that, by pressing ALT-G if you're
in the editor.
Now, you can use the full possibilities without a key. But you
have enter your name every time, you're replying or entering a message.
Version 1.13
Now you can use the mouse, to locate the cursor in the editor.
Version 1.14
You can now reply a message while you're reading a searched or a
private message.
Better quoting with initials
v1.14 will rename a *.REP file for the same BBS before starting to
create a second.
Version 1.2
I included the menues into the RSC-file. Because of a bug in GFAbasic,
CQWK had problems with let'm fly.
You are now able to search messages only in a special area. CQWK will
do this automatically, if you are in an area.
The programm had problems with some accessories, because i don't made
correct redraw.
Version 1.3E
I changed the versions, because i made an extended german version.
CQWK now checks the archiver errorcodes and won't kill your messages,
if the replybundle isn't charged correctly.
Version 1.4E
The CHANGE-MESSAGE bug is removed. You can now flip between the Messages
by pressing the left or right arrowkey. The editor now works like any other
editor in Insert-mode
Version 1.6E
The reader is now nearly perfect. Only with multigem, you might have
problems. You are now able to change the areanumber direktly in the message-
header. While seeing the NEWFILES-list, you can scroll line by line or
a whole page. The editor has now a simple overwrite mode.
Version 1.7E
The problem with multigem is solved. I had to fix also problems with
two german shareware products (Let m fly and Selectic).
All other possible configurations may work.
Version 2.0E
That's the last Shareware-version, you're albe to use witout a key.
I decided to do so, because until now, only one american paid for
CQWK. The others should use Maximimiser or MTqwk if they don't want to
pay. The development of a program like CQWK is a lot of work.
The greatest change in 2.0 is the posibility, to change the size of
your window. That's helpfull for everybody, who work with higher
resolutions or on multitaking-systems. CQWK will work with Multitos
and Falcons without problems. In Multitos you can start CQWK from
a program called Toswin, to see all the archiver outputs in a window.
It's not possible, to change the windowsize as usual, because the
scrollbars will take to much place on normal resolutions. So you
woldn't be able to see the whole message. Another point is the speed.
The handling of (real) windows with scrollbars and sizebuttoms is much
more complicated.
But now, the other changes. Cqwk will now wrap lines also when quoting
or importing messages from external editors. Now you can start
external programs like a editor and a terminaprogram with only one
keystroke from the reader. You can define the programs with caomandline
in the setup. So it's possible to invoke your terminalprogram to get
a ne QWK-bundle and return to CQWK only by pressing Control-T.
If you are in the local editor of CQWK you can start your fave editor
by pressing Control-E. The message in the local editor will be send
automatically to the external editor. If you leave the external editor
CQWK will read the messagfile back. You now can also start an other
program from CQWK. Cqwk will shell to that program. That mean, the
reader doesn't stay resident.
In the older versions, Control-Y doesn't work on english computers,
because the Z and Y are swaped. I fixed that problem.
Some QWK-exporters are able to get controlmessages from an affline-
reader. With these messages it's for example possible, to drop or
add messageareas directly, or request files, by writing a message
to the host. You have now special menuitems for these messages.
At laest, I completely changed the menustructure and the RCS, to
make CQWK look better and more easy to understand.
Version 2.2E
The changes in 2.1 are not very important. First of all, I've imple-
mented a sizebutton in the upper right corner of the window. By
pressing this button with the mouse, you can change the windowsize
to the full screen and back. Now you are able, to get old replyes
back to the reader. I also removed a bug, existing since v2.0.
Cqwk wansn't able to load the RSC on Ataris with less than 500Kb.
Version 2.3E
New TOS-versions....new problems. CQWK is now optimized for the Falcon
and MULTITOS. If you're using older version of Multitos than 1.04 you may
have problems at all (also with LETMFLY<1.20).
CQWK now checks for a new enviromentstring (TOSRUN) and will start
MULTIWIN (or whatever), to let the archiver run in a GEM-window.
Version 2.4E
I removed thre bugs. Now you can open QWK-bundles with more than
256 areas and areanumbers over 256. You may start CQWK from a root
directory without getting trouble.
Version 2.5E
The bug which don't let you pack your messages and replyes on Falcon
is removed.
Version 2.6E
An american user (hi Doug) wrote me, that CQWK has problems with some
QWK-tossers. They expect a second (binary) areamumber in byte 124-125 in
the header of a replymessage. Until now, those bytes where filled with
spaces. So it could happen, that the tosser refuses those replyes or
put them all together in area 32 (space).
Now, you'll be able to read also QWKII-bundles with up to 1000 areas.
The ADD and DROP-area-function will now work on Maximus-BBS also.
If you quote some lines from the original message. CQWK will insert
a (On <DATE> <USER> wrote to <USER2>:) on top of the quoted lines.
