  1. What's new in MGIF 4.2?

  4. Major new features:
  5.  
  6. GIF89   -   Thanks to Howard Chu, mgif now reads the new GIF89 files.
  7.             Due to lack of such files this has not been fully tested.
  8.  
  9. Rotation
  10.         -   You can now rotate images to any integer angle!
  11.             Free extras from the new rotation code: shear and scale
  12.  
  13. MiNT    -   Well it still doesn't use MiNT and its not entirely MultiTOS
  14.             friendly, but you can now run it from a window with no great
  15.             problems using the -c switch.
  16.  
  17. Colour  -   Still no colours on screem, but mgif will run just fine in
  18.             any of the ST and Falcon030 bitplane modes.
  19.             On a Falcon I wouldn't recommend that, however, since you also
  20.             have the 15 bit true colour mode. Try it!
  21.  
  22. Wildcards
  23.         -   You no longer have to name every file on the command line when
  24.             you run mgif from the desktop. The normal TOS wildcards are
  25.             supported and bad files are skipped.
  26.  
  27. JPEG    -   The latest version (4a) of the Independent JPEG Groups library
  28.             is used which means faster JPEG loading.
