OCR: In 1849 Thomas Reynold's brother, William, packed up the entire Prospect Hill Post Office in a cigar box and turned it over to Thomas, who ran the post office from his home. On 23 February 1850, Thomas received a letter from Fitz Henry Warner changing the name of the Prospect Hill post office to Reynoldsville. The next picture is that of the first post office in Reynoldsville and home of Thomas Reynolds. The picture was taken in the mid 1880's shortly before the building was torn down. It was located at what is now 10th and Jackson in Reynoldsville.
