  7. AVANT     Avant Vector version 1.2 DEMO.  Avant Vector takes a raster image and
  8.           automatically turns it into a vector graphic - which can be resized
  9.           without any loss of clarity.  It is also a complete vector graphics
  10.           drawing package.
  11. BITCAMRA  Demo version of BITCAMRA by SKWare One enlarges, reduces and
  12.           reproportions monochrome, 4-color, 16-color, 256-color, and TrueColor
  13.           images with remarkable speed and accuracy. Loads GEM IMG, STTT IMG,
  14.           XIMG, and XGA images.  Runs on everything Atari except 8-bits.
  15. CAL3DEMO  Demo of Calligrapher 3 - a word processor with many desktop
  16.           publishing features.  As well as the normal word processor features,
  17.           it allows multiple type faces, styles, and sizes within your
  18.           document.
  19. CALAMUSE  DEMO version of Calamus SL dated August 28, 1991.  This demo is
  20.           included because, although it is older, it is completely in ENGLISH.
  21.           Calamus SL is a fabulous desktop publishing package!
  22. CALAMUSG  DEMO version of Calamus SL dated June 30, 1993.  However this program
  23.           and all the accompanying docs are COMPLETELY in GERMAN.
  24. CHAGALL   Chagall version 2.11 DEMO.  Chagall is a high end professional paint
  25.           and image manipulation program from Trade iT.  Chagall is best suited
  26.           for true color graphics either on a Falcon or an ST/ STe/TT with a
  27.           third party graphics card.
  28. CHIPS     Fully playable Demo of Chips Challenge for the ST!  Chips Challenge
  29.           was ported from the Lynx.  It does *NOT* work on STe
  30. CHRONOS   Demo version of Chronos-3D, a Keyframe Animator from Lexicor Software
  31.           Corporation.  Includes both ST and TT versions. This disabled version
  32.           of Chronos is identical to the currently shipping version, except: 1)
  33.           It cannot SAVE, 2) You cannot render and record your work to an .FLM
  34.           file, and 3) It cannot render in any mode except WIREFRAME.
  35. CKEYDEM2  Demo of CodeKeys! version 1.2 from CodeHead Software. CodeKeys is a
  36.           MACRO tool that records all key and mouse button presses, and plays
  37.           them back with precise timing, or as fast as possible.
  38. CMDDEMO   COMMAND! Windowed Command Line Interpreter demo version 1.2 by
  39.           Intrinsic Software.  COMMAND! is a full function Command Line
  40.           Interpreter (CLI) that works within a GEM window.  It can be run as
  41.           either an accessory or as a program.
  42. CONVECT2  Demo version of Convector 2.  Convector is an advanced bitmap to
  43.           vector autotracing program.  With it you can convert any bitmap image
  44.           into an easy to use vector image.
  45. DAYTHUND  Fully playable demo of the game DAYS OF THUNDERfrom MINDSCAPE.
  46.           Includes a short doc file that explains how to control the game.
  47. DBIIDEMO  Demo of Oregon Research's Diamond Back II, the Ultimate Hard Disk
  48.           Backup and Restore program for the Atari ST.  Diamond Back II
  49.           provides a TRUE file backup at image backup speeds with more power &
  50.           flexibility then any other program.
  51. DCD_DEMO  This is a demonstration version of the DC DESKTOP GEM desktop
  52.           enhancement package from Double Click Software.  DC DESKTOP is a
  53.           series of programs designed to enhance the GEM desktop.
  54. DCUDEMO   Demo of the DC Utilites version 2.0 includes demo versions of DC
  55.           Xtract version 2.0 and DC Squish version 1.4.  The full DC Utilities
  56.           package also includes DC Deskey 3.0, DC SEA 2.0, DC Freeze Frame, DC
  57.           Ramit, and DC Desk Organizer.
  58. DD_DEMO   Data Diet demo version.  Data Diet is a program for the ST that works
  59.           like Stacker on the IBM PC.
  60. DEFENDER  Fully playable demo version of Defender II from ARC Software.  An
  61.           excellent conversion of the classic Defender coin-op game by ARC!
  62. DISK310D  Demo of Diskus version 3.1.  Diskus is a commercial program from
  63.           Germany that combines many functions into one program.  It will act
  64.           as a disk monitor, perform disk backups, defragment (optimize)
  65.           partitions, test and repair disks, and more.
  66. DLXPAINT  Demo of Deluxe Paint from Electronic Arts.  Fully functional except
  67.           for save and print options.  Fully supports the STE 4096 color mode.
  68.           This folder contains the Deluxe Paint demo program, two pictures, and
  69.           two fonts.
  70. DOGFIGHT  Dogfight:  Get airborne and enjoy this fully playable demo of
  71.           MicroProse's latest flight simulation with various aircraft to chose
  72.           from.  The files must be extracted to the root directory of a floppy
  73.           disk with 9 sec/track.
  74. DYNADEM   DynaCADD 1.56 Demo Version.  All features are the same as the full
  75.           version with one exception; SAVE has been disabled.  Also included is
  76.           a full version of the DynaCADD font editor for creating new fonts or
  77.           editing existing ones.
  78. EASYTEXT  Easy Text version 1.2 - a DEMO of the commercial version of Easy Text
  79.           from zzSoft, a WYSIWYG (What You See is What You Get) page based DTP
  80.           software package designed for the Atari ST computer and the GEM
  81.           operating environment.
  82. ED3DEM    Demo of EdHak 3.0 from Clear Thinking.  This demo is fully functional
  83.           except that it will not let you save anything from the edit buffer to
  84.           a file or to disk sectors.  However, it can be used for viewing any
  85.           kind of file.
  86. EDGEDEMO  Demo of Oregon Research's Diamond Edge, a comprehensive disk utility
  87.           package providing disk optimization, undelete, disk repair, and file
  88.           management services.
  89. FLS22D    Demo of Flash II version 2.2 from Missionware Software.  Flash II is
  90.           a comm program that fully supports all Atari computers up through the
  91.           Falcon.  Support all baud rates up to 38400 and all serial ports
  92.           (both MFP and SCC based).
  93. FULCRUM   Demo version of the Flight-simulator Mig 29M SuperFulcrum (ST/STE/TT)
  94. F_M_272D  Demo of First million magnum version 2.72 (Book keeping etc.,)
  95. GEN_DEMO  GENUS Font Editor Demonstration Version from CodeHead Software.
  96.           GENUS is a fast and powerful editor for Calamus typefaces that uses

  98. GUI_DEMO  DEMO of Guitaristics version 1.91 from chro_MAGIC Software

  102. HOMEACC2  Home Accounts2 Demonstration from ABC Solutions.  This demonstration
  103.           is a full version of the program, only the Save command is disabled.
  104. INSHAPE   Demo of InShape version 1.0 for the Falcon030 / TT030.  InShape is a
  105.           graphic program for modelling and generating 3D scenes.  InShape
  106.           facilitates the complete process, from modelling 3-D objects to
  107.           generating pictures.
  108. INTRFACE  Demo of Interface version 1.0 for the ST/STe/TT/Falcon030.  Interface
  109.           is the BEST resource editor available for the Atari.  It is from
  110.           Shift in Germany and is available in North America from Gribnif.
  111. JIGSAWDM  Demo of Jigsaw version 2.0 from Dolphin Software.  It is a jigsaw
  112.           puzzle game.  It presents a bunch of pieces for you to move and
  113.           assemble with the mouse.
  114. JOUST     "Pre-release" demo version of Atari's Joust.  This is NOT the full
  115.           game, but is certainly PLAYABLE.  It was released by Atari as a demo
  116.           to let people sample the game before plunking down their hard earned
  117.           dollars.
  118. KP_DM_62  Demo of Kidpublisher Professional version 6.2, A Desktop Publishing
  119.           Program for Young Writers by D.A. Brumleve.  Kids can use it to
  120.           create posters, booklets, letters to Grandma, joke books, school
  121.           reports, etc.
  122. LEANDER   Playable demo version (one COMPLETE playable level) of Psygnosis'
  123.           game LEANDER!  You can try out this limited demo version and see if
  124.           the game play suits you before spending your moeny on the full
  125.           commercial version.
  126. LIVE160D  Demo of Live version 1.60 - a MIDI sequencer who's features include
  127.           arrangement with macros, quantizing from 0 - 100, triggering of songs
  128.           (including portions of songs & styles) with a MIDI keyboard, and
  129.           SMPTE.
  130. MAGEDEMO  Demo version of M.A.G.E. - the Majic Arcade Graphics Engine.  It is a
  131.           tool you can use to design some of the best arcade action games in

  137. MANIX     Fully Playable DEMO version of the game Manix from Millennium.  A
  138.           good arcade style game.  Works on color systems only.
  139. MEDEVL_D  Demo version of Medieval Chess from JV Enterprises.  Chess with a
  140.           twist.  This innovative game combines the strategy of chess and the
  141.           arcade action of battles.  Requires at least one megabyte of ram.
  142. MIDI_COM  Demo of MIDI COM version 3.91, a network that uses the MIDI ports to
  143.           connect the computers.  Includes German DOC's.  This demo only
  144.           supports drive A and C
  145. MIDNIGHT  Demo version of the new Screensaver MIDNIGHT which works similarly to
  146.           AfterDark on the MAC, but with much nicer modules.
  147. MMGRA21J  Demo of MMsoft's MM Graph version 2.100j - a very powerful measured
  148.           data plotter.  It is a versatile, extensible graphics processor for
  149.           scientific use.  It has been developed specfically for working with
  150.           scientific data.
  151. MORPHER   Demo of Application Systems Heidelberg's Morpher version 1.0.  It is
  152.           a very good graphics program that allows you to create "morphing"
  153.           effects.  The program is completely in German.
  154. MSPYDEMO  MIDI Spy Demo by CodeHead Software.  MIDISpy is a MIDI recording tool
  155.           that allows you to record and play back MIDI in a multitasking
  156.           environment.  It runs as either a program or an accessory.
  157. MTWDEMO8  Demo of MultiWriter version 1.08 from Medical Designs Software.
  158.           MultiWriter is a full featured word processor that is the successor
  159.           to ST Writer Elite. It works on ALL Atari STs, TTs, STes, Falcons, in
  160.           ALL rezes, on ALL versions of TOS.
  161. MUGSHOTD  Demo of MUG SHOT by WizWorks.  Lets you create faces (mugshots) from
  162.           different 'parts'.  Runs on ANY ST with min. 512K ram and one double
  163.           sided floppy drive and either mono, color, or any big screen mono
  164.           monitor.
  165. NEO4DEM2  Demo version of NeoDesk 4.  NeoDesk is a complete replacement for the
  166.           built-in desktop that comes with the Atari computer.  NeoDesk has
  167.           been designed to be upwardly compatible with the old desktop.
  168. OFAXIS11  Demo of Off-Axis version 1.1 - another extremely powerful measured
  169.           data plotter for the Atari ST/STe/TT/Falcon030 computers.
  170. OL3DEM    Outline Art 3 demo.  Outline Art supplements the Calamus DTP system
  171.           with a great number of powerful functions and effects.  It is a
  172.           vector oriented graphics generation tool for producing illustrations
  173.           and special effects.
  174. OMEGDEMO  This is the Dr. T's Omega II demo.  This folder includes demo
  175.           versions of the Keyboard Controlled Sequencer, Song Editor and Mixer
  176.           MPE modules.  KCS is the main recording module of the system, and
  177.           also provides Event List editing.
  178. OUTBURST  OutBurST! Demo version.  OutBurST! is a program that reduces the time
  179.           it takes to print data to HP LaserJet and HP Deskjet compatible
  180.           printers.  Great for Calamus & Pagestream.
  181. OUTSIDE   Demo of OUTSIDE - The Virtual Memory Manager.  Will allow you to
  182.           define up to 512 megabytes of hard drive space to be used as "virtual
  183.           ram" - in other words the computer is fooled into believing it has up
  184.           to 512 megs of ram.
  185. PALMASTR  Demo version of Cybercube Research Limited's Cyrel Palette Master.
  186.           Palette Master is an interactive color handling utility originally
  187.           designed to facilitate all color controlling functions of the CyReL
  188.           SUNRISE M16-1280 High Resolution True Color Graphics Cards for the
  189.           Mega STE and TT030.  This newly version now runs on ANY Atari machine

  200. PHOENIX2  Demo of Phoenix Object Renderer version 2.00 from Lexicor Software
  201.           Corporation.  The animation features of the program have been
  202.           disabled, and any rendered images will be created with numerous blank
  203.           horizontal bands through the image.
  204. PHX3DEMO  Demo of PHOENIX version 3.0 by Application Systems Heidelberg.
  205.           Phoenix is a professional level relational database system.  Don't
  206.           confuse this with the art package from Lexicor.
  207. PIANODEM  Demo of Pianistics version 1.00 from chro_MAGIC Software Innovations.
  208.           Pianistics covers all aspects of keyboards and can be used by
  209.           beginners and seasoned professionals alike.  Contains valuable tools
  210.           for jazz imrpovisation and composition as well as aids for improving

  212. PIXART    Demo of PixArt, a pixel oriented paint program for the ST, STe, TT,

  215.           Barefoot Software which was formerly Hybrid Arts).  Edit Track
  216.           Platinum is one of the best sequencers on the market and has a long
  217.           history of upgrades and support.
  218. PLATON    Demo version of PLATON, the first fully professional PCBoard design
  219.           and production package for the Atari ST and TT.  It covers the
  220.           complete spectrum of PCB production from initial concept to CNC
  221.           output and mask cutting.
  222. POWDEMO   Demo of LDW Power - the best selling spreadsheet on the Atari
  223.           platform.  LDW Power is an exact clone of the famous DOS spread sheet
  224.           called Lotus and is even file compatible with it.

  241. RENT_PRO  Video Rental PRO Demo from Hi-Tech Advisers is a complete rental
  242.           point-of-sale and inventory control system and rental store
  243.           management system.  Cash drawer support is included.
  244. ROBOKID   Fully playable demo of the Atomic Robokid game.
  245. SCRTH     Demo of Scrolling Thunder Text File Viewer version 1.0.  Scrolling
  246.           Thunder is a viewer or browser for text files with a difference.  It
  247.           exclusively uses hardware scrolling, of the STe, to produce the
  248.           smoothest, fastest display possible.
  249. SIL137ST  Demonstration Version of Silhouette Version 1.37, a powerful bit
  250.           image and vector graphics program with auto-tracing (bit map to

  282.           virus killer on the ST that has more impressive statistics than any
  283.           of its competition.
  284. VBOOK     Demo of the ST Virtual BookMaker from It's All Relative.  Virtual
  285.           BookMaker, a great way to bring your genealogical research to life!
  286.           It is a great companion to It's All Relative's genealogy program.
  287.           This demo shows a sample "book" made with the program.
