  2.                 VoteMGR-ST User Instructions
  3.     --------------------------------------------------

  5.     Votemgr is a program that allows you to send NETMail
  6.         ballots to systems holding one or more votings. Votemgr is
  7.         much like areafix, filefix, areamgr, raid or other
  8.         mail-interactive programs. These programs will receive and
  9.         process NETMail messages from users, saving a lot of work to
  10.         SysOps.
  11.  
  12.     This is what you have to do in order to "vote" using
  13.         votemgr: there are three basic procedures you will probably
  14.         want to follow before you send your ballot:

  17.     o First of all, you must know what is the name of the
  18.         active elections held at one node, and for which you
  19.         are validated to vote. You do this by writing a
  20.         NETMail message addressed to votemgr at the address
  21.         of the node holding the voting, writing "%LIST" in
  22.         the Subj: field. Optional you always are allowed to use
  23.         "%HOLD" on the Subj: field. The votingsystem will put 
  24.         the result on hold for you. You will have to poll the 
  25.         votingsystem again!

  35.                 empty received messages!

  61.         Please, note that some votes will allow you to make more then
  62.         one choice!

  65.     o Second, and now you know what the name of the active
  66.         election is, you need to know what the choices are.
  67.         You do this by writing a NETMail message addressed
  68.         to votemgr at the address of the node holding the
  69.         voting, writing the name of the selected voting in
  70.         the Subj: field and "%LIST" in the message text:

  79.         Votemgr will, in return, send you a LIST of valid
  80.         choices for the election "DECIDE" held at this
  81.         system.

  84.     o And third, now you know what the choices are, you can
  85.         send your ballot. You do this by writing a NETMail
  86.         message addressed to Votemgr at the address of the
  87.         node holding the voting, writing the name of the
  88.         selected voting in the Subj: field.

  91.         | VoteMgr-ST can handle TWO kinds of votings. Single and |
  92.         | multiple votes. The system who is responsible for the  |
  93.         | vote will inform you what kind of voting will be used! |
  94.         |    You also can ask VoteMgr for this information by    |
  95.         |       writing a message to VoteMgr. (see ABOVE!)       |

  98.     1.  If a vote is a "single vote" (NO '+' sign in the voting
  99.         list) than you must vote as follows:

  102.         "<your choice> !<your signature>".

  113.     2.  If a vote is a "multiple vote" (A '+' sign in the voting
  114.         list) than you must vote as follows:

  118.         "<keyword> <your choice>"

  135.         informing of possible errors or notifying correct
  136.         ballot processing.

  138.         NOTE: your signature is a string that will be
  139.                 displayed together with results, so you know
  140.                 your ballot has been in fact processed.

  143.     o Last, but not least, maybe you want to know wat the results
  144.         are until so far?  Well, just write a NETMail message 
  145.         addressed to Votemgr at the address of the node holding 
  146.         the voting, writing the name of the selected voting in 
  147.         the Subj: field.
  148.         In the messagetext you place %REPORT and votemgr-st will
  149.         return you a report of the vote.
