Haarlem 14-06-1991,
Atari ST File mailer V 6.03
-------------------------------
Update
- Extended number of lines in STICkx.MSG files from 20 to 50
for header & footer comments.
- Removed a bug in Autosend option, it could happen that not
every node in the routing received the autosend file(s).
- Removed some forgotten 'debug' codes which caused double
NULL codes in reporting messages from both STick & Hatch.
It happened only when we were in day 1 to 9 of every month.
- When you write #DATE in the description of an Autosend option
this string will be replaced by the actual date.
- When you use QuickBBS ST from Jon Webb you can define a seperate
upload directory where users can upload their files. If you
define this seperate directory as Autosend directory then STick
can transfer these uploaded files automatic. Stick will scan
the autosend directory for matching files. If he finds a matching
file he will look for the description in FILES.BBS and add this
description to the TIC files.
If you put for example C:\QBBS\FSFAN\*.* in the autosend option,
STick does NOT route FILES.BBS file. (QuickBBS ST will create
this file when somebody uploads a file)
This way you can allow BBS users to Hatch into an area.
example :
QuickBBS upload directory = c:\qbbs\fsfan_u\
QuickBBS download directory = c:\qbbs\fsfan\
File area FSFAN with directory = c:\qbbs\fsfan\*.*
Autosend option directory = c:\qbbs\fsfan_u\
Autosend file area = FSFAN
User uploads a file, which will be put in C:\QBBS\FSFAN_U\ (by Quick)
STick will MOVE the file to directory C:\QBBS\FSFAN\ with the
description the user has given. ( stored in FILES.BBS ). STick
will route the file depending your routing setup for FSFAN.
Other users will see the file with the correct description in the
download directory C:\QBBS\FSFAN\
C:\QBBS\FSFAN_U\ is empty again, except FILES.BBS, because STick does
not move FILES.BBS
This way your BBS users can 'hatch' a file into the network without
intervention of sysop.
