* BT-NEWFONT v1.1 *

BT-NEWFONT allows you to use the different BOXTYPE's available in
BinkleyTerm by replacing the ST's standard font with a PC font. Another of
BT-NEWFONT's features is that it sets the ST's colours to a better combination
when in medium rez. You can take advantage of this colour change by adding the
COLORS command to your BINKLEY.CFG file. The COLORS command I have in my .CFG
file is 'colors 1 3 3 3 3 3 16 16 0 2' so I suggest you try this. *** PLEASE
NOTE THAT THIS COMMAND IS ONLY FOR COLOUR SCREENS *** Refer to the BinkleyTerm
Reference Guide for details of this command and how to use it it high rez.
There are 2 seperate fonts used for Med and High rez screens so it will
always be of a high quality. As with most PC fonts available on the ST the
lines used for the 'box' characters are fairly thick which when used with
BinkleyTerm will make the screen look fairly blocky. BT-NEWFONT uses the same
'box' characters but with finer detail so you now have very clearly defined
lines making up your boxes. This applies to both screen types. If you run
NEWFONT.TTP and it cannot find BT.TTP it will display the 5 different
'boxtypes' and wait for you to press a key.
HOW TO USE BT-NEWFONT.. Instead of running BT.TTP you have to run
NEWFONT.TTP with the same command line you would have passed to BinkleyTerm.
BT-NEWFONT will then reset the colours & font before running BT.TTP with the
same parameters passed to it. *** DO NOT CHANGE THE FILENAME OF BT.TTP ***
I do not know whether BT-NEWFONT will work on your set-up but I use it
daily and have had no problems at all. If you do have problems or would like
to make a suggestion regarding the program please get in touch.. If you would
like to have a version with your own font then please contact me.. The format
of font used is the same as in Fontkit Plus, available from the ST-Club, where
a .FON file starting with A1 is for high rez and A2 for med rez.
