  1. MESSAGE KILLER

  4. This nice little program kills automatically messages having
  5. characteristics you don't like.
  6. Define the things you don't like in the configuration-file (KILLER.CNF),
  7. and run the program after you've imported new mail.
  8.  
  9. An example of a configuration-file:
  10.  
  11. FROM:Jan Jansen
  12. SUBJ:I hate sex
  13. AREA_FILE:E:\MAIL\0002
  14. FROM:Hendrik
  15. FROM:Jansens
  16. AREA_FILE:E:\MAIL\0004
  17.  
  18. First, you put _ALL_ the characteristics for _ONE_ area in the
  19. config. That can be:
  20. FROM: (with immediately following from who)
  21. TO:, SUBJ: (those 2 are simple to understand)
  22. ADRESS: (this, for example, can be: 2:283/103.92, if there's no
  23.          point-number, at .0! (e.g. 2:283/103.0))
  24. ZONE:, NET:, NODE:, POINT: this enables you to fuck off all messages
  25. from one zone or net or node or point, e.g. NET:281
  26. TEXT: (with this one, you can look through the message-text, it makes
  27.        the program much much slower!)

  29. After the characteristics, you type in the name of the file in which
  30. the area is in, e.g.: AREA_FILE:E:\MAIL\0002
  31. You can see in which file the area is in, by looking in the
  32. AREAS.BBS-file:

  45. If you want to kill messages from the KLETS.028 area, type
  46. 'AREA_FILE:E:\MAIL\0004' _AFTER_ the characteristics.

  57. means: Kill all messages from Jan Pietersen or all messages which have
  58. '4x8' in their subject-line from the file E:\MAIL\0002 which is in my
  59. case the ATARI.028-area and kill all messages from Hendrik-Jan de Jonge and
  60. Joost Jansen in the file E:\MAIL\0004 which is in my case the
  61. KLETS.028.

  63. As you can see, you may put more then 1 of the same
  64. characteristics-types.
