  1. This is a brief outline of some of the more 'odd' features of HoloQWK
  2.  
  3. Limit Messages :
  4.  
  5.     This limits the number of new messages that will be packed each time
  6.     in a particular area, so if you only want the last 10 messages in
  7.     each area you have selected for packing then set this figure to 10.
  8.     To disable the feature set the limit to 0.
  9.  
  10. Packet size :
  11.  
  12.     *For use with BatchPack mode only*
  13.  
  14.     Before starting to pack new messages the size of the existing .QWK
  15.     packet is checked and compared with this value, if the size of the
  16.     .QWK packet is equal or larger to this value then no packing takes
  17.     place - This does not affect online packing.
  18.     Setting this value to 0 will disable it.

  20. Setting the LastRead Pointers :
  21.  
  22.     This allows you to fool HoloQWK into thinking you have already read
  23.     messages or even allows you to rescan the areas. When used with the
  24.     'Limit Messages' feature you can effectively control the number of
  25.     messages your .QWK packet will contain.

  27. BatchPack mode (In Options menu)
  28.  
  29.     If enabled then any new messages in your selected areas will be packed
  30.     for you at 02:30 in the morning, this saves you having to wait for the
  31.     packing to be done whilst you are online.
  32.     If you do not pick up any packed mail within 145 days then HoloQWK will
  33.     stop packing new messages for you, but it will keep your mail on hold
  34.     until such time as you either pick it up, or it is deleted to make room
  35.     for more active users.
