BINSEMP requires the following logging options to be active to work
100% if you are using SEMPER>

Binksemp is useful for Nodes or points who want to keep an eye on how long
they spend networking , wether there are any problems during their network
runs and if they actually managed to connect with their hubs or nodes.

As well as the above Binksemp is especially useful for Hubs or Hosts as they
can keep an eye on when Nodes call in and if a nodes calling time is
erratic or if they call each day or not ,then Binksemp will show this up in
the tables produced.

Binksemp will also check any incoming AKA's , so if you poll out and a node
has changed it's main domain or you usually poll a node and for some reason
they poll you but using a different network address that you are both in.
Then it will search the AKA lines for a matching address already known by
Binksemp and if found ,the total in ,out ,time connects and entry on the
connection table will still be shown under it's old address.

This keeps the size of the reports produced to a minimum.

You can run Binksemp at any time , if you only want to run it once a day then
I suggest that you run it in a batch file, or in an event that you run after
all your usual connects have polled in and you make sure that your log isn't
truncated to quickly or Binksemp will miss some of it's data.

I run it after each mailer connect so I have an upto-date list of mailer
connects at all times.

What Binksemp does is produce the following tables by reading the Semper.log
file when run.

The Z/H/J/W/I stand for Zedzap,Hydra and Janus,Wazoo & Zedzip connects
REQ shows an F against a node if they requested files
ERR shows a ! if the node had a error occour

The program is totally automatic , the Previous Days and Monthly Tables are
updated as soon as Binksemp reads in an entry with a new date or month in it.

it requires an 8 line config file to be edited (example included in this
archive)

5.Monthly (sane as number 4 but on-going current months totals and
           last months totals)
6.Monthly connect graph
7.Number of days to keep lists numbers 2 and 3 for before
  truncating them by 1 day per day
8.Path to Turbo.log if you are using STATSGEN , this will put a log entry
  into the TURBO.LOG if it is an incoming mailer , which STATSGEN will then
  add into your BBS useage graph that STATSGEN generates , this will give
  a truer picture to your users of when the BBS is busy.
  Leave blank if you aren't using Turbo/statsgen or the useage graph.

The files Binksemp.CFG and Binksemp.PRG can be placed anywhere , as long as
that is the current directory when you run Binksemp.
