  29. More than one year has been invested in the development of the ACS
  30. package. During this year I have spent very much of my time and money,
  31. in telephone bills, so that these programs become a decent software
  32. package. 
  33. Thus I have decided to ask for a Shareware contribution for the ACS
  34. package so that at least some of my costs are covered. 
  35. I've heard from many places that some people confuse Shareware with
  36. Public Domain, thus the programmer doesn't always receive the proper and
  37. fitting payment for his troubles. I hope you are understanding in that
  38. I don't want to give away all my work and time which I have invested
  39. in this project for free.

  41. As thanks to all those who have paid their Shareware contribution I will
  42. be available, via NetMail, to answer all questions concerning problems
  43. about installation and (hopefully few) during operation of the ACS package. 
  44. Those who haven't contributed, won't get any information.
  45.  
  46. But now, to the most important part of this text: "How can I enter the
  47. circle of the 'Enlightened'?"  Thats not even so hard.

  50. | You just have to send a letter or NetMail with your exact Address    |
  51. | (not only Fido, but your home address too) and your Sysop-Name.      |
  52. | Then you will receive a Serialnumber for the proper use of the ACS.  |
  53. | Please try to request the ACS somewhere near your home. It is too    |
  54. | much work to send lots of Disks around the world.                    |
  55. | (If you realy wish to get the ACS via Disk, write it clearly and     |
  56. | keep calm some weeks.)                                               |

  62. The contribution is a little higher for those outside of Europe because I
  63. believe that fast correspondence, for example with the USA, is more
  64. expensive than within Germany and Europe.

  66. (Well, it looks like i have great problems with the phoneline when calling
  67. the USA. I did never get connected to Systems with slow Modems.
  68. I think it might be a good idea to have someone there who can do a bit of 
  69. distribution for ACS.)

  73. The best way is to send me your Donation (together with your Homeaddress) to

  81. The Shareware-Donation for Users within Europe is DM 50. For Users outside
  82. of Europe it is US$ 40.
  83. All Users should send their Shareware payment in Banknotes (i mean Cash) 
  84. via registered mail, insured, to the above address. This is most likely the 
  85. easiest and securest method. I've never had problems with that till now.

  88. Cash, for whatever reason, then he can transfer it to the following account:

  95. It happened often that new Users from foreign Countries transferred theyr
  96. Donation to my account but the Bank kept 20 DM for taxes. Please remember 
  97. this and add this difference to the Donation or pay yourself the taxes for 
  98. the transferation.

  102. should be available on just about every ST mailbox in your area...
  103. I would recommend to request at first the ACS-Documents, read them and then
  104. decide if you are still interested in ACS.
